This small underground venue has an amazing selection of whiskeys. The decor feels exactly like an old world Library, a perfect atmosphere for sipping whiskey. In addition to that, they have a selection of appetizers, and some larger plates. We got the Penicillin, best one I have had, fried brie, as well as a couple of 1 oz pours. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and nice. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

Listen up! This place was INCREDIBLE!! From the service to the food, top notch! We sat at the bar and had the most amazing evening. Watching the bartenders work magic making the most beautiful drinks while enjoying every bite of food that came our way. We ordered 5 different small plates and each one was unique and ridiculously delicious! I would fly back to Portland just to eat and drink here again!
Top notch craft cocktail bar. They entrance is undefined. They have minimal food. Go for the drinks. Walk-ins are hard. They joint is popular. The good news is that they take reservations. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars. ✌🏼
Great craft cocktails and a lovely short menu of well composed dishes. The scallop tartare and pork belly were both delicious.
The list of whiskies is a bit overwhelming but also super interesting if you don’t have a collection of your own.
This place is beautiful, I love the speakeasy vibe. The staff is also really amazing. The food was awesome I highly highly recommend the fried Brie it was heavenly. The dessert is excellent as well. Overall this is an awesome place it's Luxy but chill at the same time with great fare.
We decided to have a cocktail and early appetizer at Scotch Lodge before heading to a late reservation at a highly reviewed, James Beard-winning chef’s tasting around the corner… our food and experience at Scotch Lodge surpassed our “fancy” dinner by leaps and bounds! The ambiance was akin to some of the more bespoke bars we have explored in NYC, the food was incredible, cocktails inventive, and service top-notch. We ordered the seasonal Apricot dish and the toast with whipped lard. Both were outstanding. Each bite was surprising and well balanced. We are already counting down the days until we are back in Portland and can visit this special establishment again.
The food was excellent! Highly recommend the fried Brie! The cocktails were good. Only one or two were fantastic, but they all were pretty interesting. Huge selection of alcohol and a good selection of cocktails.
We were there for two hours (2 people). The bartenders were awesome and felt like the drinks came in a timely manner. The food service felt a bit slow. We usually have meals in under an hour if the timing works out. We had three drinks each and three shared plates. Plus dessert.
Would definitely like to return.
Spending an evening at Scotch Lodge (I spent two during a four day trip!) was the highlight of my recent trip to Portland and one of the best dining experiences I had in my life. Plus the wine, a Pinot noir, was at the perfect temperature.
SWANKY SCOTCH SPOT
I stopped in her for a drink prior to a reservation at a nearby fave NW French restaurant.
It’s a beautiful and charming location. Their food menu looks fantastic, but I didn’t have any due to my supper plans.
Their spirit menu is EXTENSIVE and I look forward to taking my husband here to try new scotches.
We will make a reservation and come for an evening in the near future.
What a great place to find a new whiskey or have your favorite scotch. I had a flight of Japanese whiskies and the found dove very tasty ones indeed. We had appetizers that finished the tasting.
