I really like this place, the staff is always friendly, authentic, and enthusiastic. Their food is delicious and fresh. As a person who dislikes sushi, I come here solely for their side dishes. I love their miso soup and udon. They've got an all you can eat vibe, except that it's pay per plate. Each plate color has a set value and is tallied up at the end of your visit. I'd say they're affordable even when you eat a ton of food. Their desserts are really yummy too! I come here with friends who like sushi and from their experiences, they enjoy the food as well. The only thing that can be sort of annoying is their weird hours schedule, but if you can plan around it, I'd say it's worth going✨

When I went, it was a slow Tuesday evening and my friend and I were helped very quickly. The environment was pleasing and the staff was very friendly. I didn't find as many choices at this sushi-go-round as I usually find, and a lot of them had the ever-present spicy mayo added on top--- which I don't like with every piece of sushi I eat. But, this was decent and I would choose this spot again as it fits my budget. (I paid $21, I think, for a good 11-12 plates of sushi.)

Marinepolis is a great spot to pop in for a quick bite. We always make it a point to stop in at least once whenever we visit our daughter in Portland. We usually go to the Beaverton location because we also stop by the Uwajimaya and Kinokuniya (see my reviews) while in Beaverton. If you've never been, Marinepolis is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant so a variety of sushi, rolls, and sides make their way around the prep area along a converter belt. If you see something you like, just grab the plate and you're good to go. It's convenient because you can literally start eating the minute you sit down. Because they don't have every single menu item going around the track, you can place a custom order with the server or chef and they'll make that for you. I forgot to mention this earlier but the food items make their way around the track on color-coded plates. Some plates are a dollar, others are $1.50, $2.00, $3.00, etc. so you can tell how much each item costs as they make their way around. Just to be clear, the 5 stars is for convenience, location, value, and overall experience. The sushi isn't top shelf quality, the decor/design of the restaurant won't wow you, and the service can be iffy due to staffing BUT the two times we went there during this trip, the food was good, the chef was attentive, and 35 plates of food and two beers came to $71 - that's 5-star amazing!

I don't get the bad reviews. Honestly this is the best sushi I've had in all of Portland in this price range. Tastes great and looks colorful. They can work on putting more variety on the conveyor and making sure the avocados are fresh. Otherwise its my favorite sushi place

I love conveyor belt sushi. It's comfortable and inexpensive. That being said, this place is not fancy. They allow you to special order dishes that aren't on the belt already. I love their mochi ice cream, my favorite is green tea. I like to come to this place when I want comfort sushi.

Friendly staff! I love the sushi! It was very delicious for the price! Usually I would expect cheap sushi for a cheap price as Sushi Land. 5 stars for sure!

This is one of my favorite sushi places when I’m on the go, it’s got great variety and inexpensive. Not all the options are available on the conveyor belt, but you can order off the menu for the same price. Sushi is fresh and tastes great, some of my favorite are crab salad, seared salmon, salmon ikura, calamari and seaweed rolls. Great place for hungry kids and small groups, you can eat a lot and price doesn’t make you feel like it broke your wallet.

It's affordable rotary sushi that tastes good. The employees are polite and accommodating - the chefs are friendly and efficient. It doesn't really blow one away, but it doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth either. It is what it is without trying to be anything more - and there's something to be said for that.
