Consistent in my Experience
I work downtown and with pandemic times, it's hard to find a good sandwich downtown these days.
I have been so HAPPY with my past 3 orders at Theo's Deli. FAT chewy slices of bacon, good quantity of turkey, and consistent quality. Dagwood style.
I like that you get to chose your bread type.
I like that they know how to make a classic fat BLT with turkey without feeling the need to add a bunch of weird stuff. Good classic sandwiches.
Delicious foods, a large selection...even for vegetarians. The service is pretty fast. Went during lunch here rush and still got our food in a timely manner. There is limited outside seating and sufficient seating inside. Fair prices for the food.
Had been looking for a quick bite and ducked in here- We were not dissapointed. Enjoyed the Chicago Dog with potato salad for $5.00. Excellent price for a meal that hit the spot!
Our servers were friendly and quick. Would definitely go back here.
Enjoyed Philly cheese steak and French dip over here before going next door and the food was great! Food came out quickly and the fries were crisp and fresh along and the sandwiches filled us up
Theo's is right near where I work so it's pretty convenient for me to grab a bite on those days where I don't have a lunch from home. Today I ordered online, but when I stopped in my order had slipped through the cracks and hadn't been put together. I ain't even mad though cuz they whipped it up super fast, gave me my fries for free, and my food was nice an hot. Will definitely keep coming back!
Really good spot for breakfast even though they sell more than breakfast options. This breakfast sandwich was amazing We visited from out of state and actually came here twice for this sandwich, would recommend to try out.

Best 5 dollar breakfast in downtown Portland. House breakfast comes with hash browns, eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, and coffee.
Great food for reasonable prices! It is often smokey due to poor ventilation though, which makes it hard to eat here sometimes.
I decided to try Theo's after having saved to Maps for some time. A craving for sandwiches as well as a desire to go somewhere new is what got me in finally; I'm very glad that I went.
I went later, around 8 or so, on a Saturday and was happy to see that it wasn't packed as I wanted to get food fast. The staff was very friendly there and prepared the food very quickly. The kitchen is immediately behind the counter so you can easily see your food being prepared. Despite the space being rather small there was plenty of seating and it didn't feel crowded.
The food itself was absolutely delicious. The whole wheat bread was incredibly soft and flavorful on my sandwich, and everything looked nice as well as well prepared. The fries were very tasty too; the must be cooked fresh as they still had a slight potato taste that you don't get with frozen fries. The potato salad was also quite good, though I think next time I'll stick with the fries as they were just that good.
Overall, the restaurant was clean and well put together and the food very enjoyable. If you are looking for a good sandwich shop, I would definitely recommend this one.
It's affordable, you get your money's worth, food is excellent, my favorite is the Philly cheese steak sandwich, cut in half. Then I can eat 1/2 one day, and finish the next, yum! The kitchen is clean, as well as staff. What can I say, except it's my favorite sandwich shop in Portland! They have great staff and are local, not a chain!
