Got too excited since the food here is too delicious. I love the atmosphere with great calming music and the owner is the friendliest person I've ever encountered. Not to mention great value.

Such a charming, cozy cafe. I'm not generally a huge fan of cafes, I feel the market is flooded with them, but I'll consider this place an exception.
You can tell even without reading it in the menu that everything is made in house. The pasta, the pastries, even the bread for your toast. The coffees are rich and beautiful. The salmon lox is delicious too.
My favorite spot is next to the window underneath the Open sign so I get the mix of flora, wood, and a soft neon glow. Such a great place to relax.
The mango fruit smoothie here is the greatest smoothie I ever had in my entire life. It literally will bring a smile to my face and brighten up my day when I have one. If I lived closed to there, I would go buy one every single day. Its so good. Like, it makes my heart happy. It's that good.
Phenomenal little place for a bagel sandwich and coffee.
The lunch there is pretty good too, and I'd have to say everything is fairly priced.
Love the dark ambience within the cafe.
Definitely one of my go-to spots for breakfast or lunch. Usually busy, but the customer service is great and they are efficient.
Love this little Cafe!! The environment was lovely, the waitress was very sweet and friendly. We got an Oregon Chai Tea and a Hot Chocolate to drink—they were delicious! The food was great, too. We ordered some potato salad, tomato basil soup, and the day’s special: a freshly made grilled steak sandwich with chipotle sauce, mozzarella, grilled mushrooms and peppers, all on top of a soft ciabatta bun. For dessert we chose the blueberry cheesecake. It was all spectacular! Thank you Park Avenue Cafe!
I went on a Sunday morning around 10 AM I think and it was pretty quiet. The subtle sound of a piano you could just barely hear in the background, somebody typing on their laptop and very little chatter, if people were talking, they were doing so quietly. I don’t know if this is normal for this spot. It’s a little too quiet for my taste, but some people like that. The food was tasty. I got the veggie wrap and a chai tea. The people working there were nice. If you have to go to the bathroom, there is a key at the cashier’s desk. I thought someone was in there, so I was waiting.. until I saw someone go in with the key. Overall, would recommend and would go back.
This place goes above and beyond to accommodate for customers ON TOP of having amazing food and drinks. For instance, when I stopped in today, I got the wrong drink and was unable to get it remade as I was running late for class. They remembered my drink order over 2 hours later and were able to make it for me without question or charge, even when the shifts had changed and it was new people taking orders. I really love the customer service here. On top of this, the cafe has such a nice atmosphere and the owner of the cafe is there on a daily basis and really gets to know the customers first hand. It's so hard to find a place like this in Portland. Park Avenue Cafe is truly a gem!
Do not just go for the pastries. Everything- coffee, atmosphere. ect. besides the pastries is great. At least the chocolate croissant and muffin were both pretty gross.
Great little breakfast place. Love the teacups and saucers that the hot beverage comes in. Good place to go study or just chat with a friend.
Good food selection with fresh ingredients, this unfortunately leads to them running out of some items most days. Haven't tried any drinks. Cooking time is a little slow at times but it seems to be because they rely heavily on a few all star team members to do a lot of multitasking. Overall, very satisfied.
