I love this place! Crowded or not crowded. One of the great escapes from the hot summer festival scene when you need shade and AC....and a stiff drink. Food is pretty good. I highly recommend the Irish Reuben with corned beef.
Great food. The whiskey burger was phenomenal. The drinks are well made and a good selection of beer on tap. Personally my favorite Jameson Old Fashioned in Portland!
This place has a good vibe to it. I travel to London often and this pub has a very European style. The food is delicious and the service is fast.
Great place with excellent beers on tap. Scotch egg was one of the best I've had. Bangers and mash were alright, wish I had gotten the fish and chips like my wife did.
St. Patrick's event with cover charge is worth putting on your calendar. Line dance performers, live music: bagpipes, flute, acoustic and electric guitar. Swag. Irish food!
CASH event.
Expect to have a great time. 2023 cover was $25. dinner $20, drinks: $9 -$15.
If you like a good Shepards pie and a great place to chill on a Friday night, you’ve found it. Really relaxed and great atmosphere. Nice drinks and wine selection.
Found Paddy’s after our original dinner plan failed. Really glad we did! The atmosphere was great and our food was excellent. We really enjoyed our meal and we will definitely be coming back. Easy access from Max and plenty of street parking on a rainy Tuesday.
Best in the north west. Very knowledgeable staff. Great happy hour. Fantastic drink’s and really amazing ambiance. I met an Irish fellow here and he was very pleasant. He gave me a coin with a 4 leaf clover and promised me I would experience good luck for years to come. Also the bathrooms are clean
Really like coming here, Here's the scoop, though: Most of the food is really good. I expected an awesome Reuben sandwich because corned beef is kinda a thing for Irish Pubs. But it was more like corned beef and cabbage slaw on barely grilled bread. I had to mostly eat it with a fork because it was completely shredded. It's hard to take a bite of something that is falling everywhere. More sauerkraut shreds than meat by far. Very little cheese or thousand Island. Don't get me wrong,it didn't taste horrible, and I like sauerkraut, but it wasn't what I would call a Reuben. Now, their Scotch eggs, those are fire! The poutine is awesome too! Bangers and mash, beer cheese and pretzel, Their brussel sprouts should be the way all sprouts are made. I just won't order the Reuben again.
Best Ruben in PDX, the lamb French onion soup was top quality. Wouldn't miss it for the world.
I can't say much about the ambiance, the menu, or the service at Paddy's, as my one and only experience here (thus far) has been their St. Patrick's Day festival. A $25 cover is a bit steep, and the drinks served inside were smaller than I'd like, but it's a damn fine party. Live music all day, relatively quick lines, and a jovial, lively atmosphere.
Their location in downtown is a bit of a bummer; I didn't even know they existed prior to this last weekend. However, what I saw (briefly) of the interior was warmly appointed and inviting, so I cam curious to return and check things out in a more subdued atmosphere. Whether or not they're a worthy rival to Kells, Kelly's and other storied Irish bars in Portland, has yet to be determined (to me, anyway).
Came here late, the staff let us know the full menu won't be available soon and came back to take our order before that was the case. Great food and great staff. Will come back again!
