Meesen Thai Eatery

This reminds me of one of my favorite Thai restaurants in California. I enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. It is challenging finding a Thai place that is not a fusion or does not use too much oil in their cooking. See-Sen is a gem. They have a great set up. The downstairs is cozy and the upstairs is great for larger groups. I have had multiple items on their menu and they are consistently prepared and tasty. The service is prompt and friendly. This has become my go to spot for Thai food in PDX. I will travel across town if need be. Highly Recommend !!

Wonderful dining experience that I hope to recreate on my next visit to Portland. From first setting foot in the door to after the completion of the entire meal, this was truly 5 Star! Went with the Mee Sen soda, a great app, then topped with Guay Tire Tom Kha hot! Spice level was 💯 perfect. Absolutely amazing! The menu features a pic of every item, so that's a huge plus, as well.

We were constantly checked in on and taken care of! You could tell it was an authentic resturaunt! I would say the curries are a little too sweet though, not too spicy at all. Khao Soi ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ - super soft chicken - wasn't spicy at all but the chili sauce helped give it flavor Tom yum with thin noodles ⭐⭐ - this was surprisingly a little too fishy for me - I loved the thin noodles but it kind of needed some vegetables or something. I'm not sure what - the pork on the top was delicious - my partner liked this more than the khao Soi though! Hat yai fried chicken ⭐⭐ - wouldn't order again - pink on inside Guay tiew Tom kha ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - imagine a more water pumpkin curry - needs spicy for flavor bc it is super sweet - wish there was more bok choy, there was only 2 pieces Fish cakes appetizer ⭐⭐ - good with the sauce but didn't do much for me Thai iced coffee ⭐⭐⭐ - a tiny bit too sweet for me, but I could tell it was super caffeinated, which was what I needed!

We will definitely be returning! The atmosphere was fun and the food was delicious. I got the guay tiew tom kha and the flavor was amazing. I love Tom kha but rarely order it because I usually want something more substantial, so this was the perfect dish. Husband got the pad kratiem prik thai and it was super garlicky and yummy. Mango sticky rice was the perfect way to end the meal.

My partner and I loved this place!! Ive been trying fried rice from different restaurants and this was by far my favorite. I got the tom yum fried rice and it was sooo flavorful, usually I want to add some type of sauce to the dishes I order even if they're already good, but with this one there was just no need. They have so many interesting choices, not to mention sticky rice with custard in addition to sticky rice with mango for dessert (both are lovely)! The service was good too. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.
