Great drinks and fantastic service! Came from out of town with my husband and we were super excited to try this place out. We love rum and tiki bars so this was definitely up our alley. James is an awesome bartender; he made great recommendations and even took the time to chat with us about the city and fill us in on the local bar scene. Please make sure to stop in! Also, that Hawaiian bread is pretty killer.
Fun tiny place. Wish they had a bit more space, was very crammed. Came on a Tuesday night at 630pm, was a 30min wait. They have tables outside where you can have drinks while you wait.
The food was ok, the drinks are really the star. I wanted to say it was a one and done type place, but I would come back to bring others who haven’t visited.
We tried several drinks and the ones that stuck out were The Forgotten Sailor, strong but yummy & the Lava flow.
The menu is a lot larger than posted on their website.
Hale Pele is a really unique place with a fantastic tropical vibe and cocktails. You would have no idea from the outside, but once you step in you’re transformed into a tropical paradise! The drinks are excellent, and the whole place is an experience. Many of the drinks are on fire, there is thunder and smoke, with colorful lighting. Overall a great experience and fun vibes.

The best night ever! Went back to the islands and loved every minute of it! We were there for a 21st birthday and they treated us like royalty! What a fabulous atmosphere with volcano’s and rain storms! The ambiance is everything and then the drinks are to die for! Nothing but great things to say. You will wait to get a table and it’s worth every second you wait! We will be going back for the island experience and the people!!!

I recommend coming with friends and getting the Volcano Bowl, you will not regret it.The presentation for this drink includes the restaurant playing thunderstorms and fiery volcano sounds with fog. (video of presentation below)

This place is a must try, no joke. You will probably wait a good 40 minutes before being seated. Worth it! Caribbean cocktails and tiki vibes.
I took my partner here for their birthday and it was perfect! The music isn’t loud so you don’t have to talk over it, the lights are just lit enough without being too bright, and the service was fantastic.
We were blown away as soon as we sat down, but when they brought the food and drinks we decided we absolutely must come back. We inhaled the Hawaiian bread with guava jam, lumpia, and the coconut desert before we even thought to take pictures, they were all just too good! If you’re looking for a cute date night with fun drinks, spectacular food, and perfect ambiance, this is the place to go.
I’m terms of price, we bought two appetizers, a dessert, and two pina coladas, the bill came out to $42, so $21/person and worth every penny.

This spot is one of the better tiki bars in the country. At least it's one of my favorites. It definitely has one of the better fire shows that accompanies a drink. Order the Volcano Bowl, you'll understand. There are other drinks that get the fire as well! The drinks here are made with a true mixology approach! Fresh juices are used and prepared in-house, as are the syrups! This definitely improves the quality of the drinks, and you definitely taste the freshness with each beverage! The atmosphere is amazing, and you get a true feeling of escapism! The folks working here are friendly and make sure you enjoy your experience. If you're not sure what to order. Ask the mixologists, and they will definitely help you out! There are food items offered here. They are tasty and pair well with the beverages! Tiki enthusiasts, this is a must, but this is a great bar for everyone to experience! This bar works on a first come, first seated system, and no reservations are accepted. As time progresses from opening hour onward, there will be a wait. This spot is definitely worth the wait, so definitely stop in, have a beverage, and perhaps some sustenance! Enjoy!
Been here 3 times now and will come again! Drinks are stupendous. Food abso-F-ing-phenomenal. Smaller food menu but high quality taste. Easier to seat 1-3 ppl. Anything bigger and you will struggle for table space unless you reserve the back area. If visiting on the weekend arrive 30mins before doors open. The line will get very long.
Aaahhhhh, so much fun every time we come here for my favorite beverage, Pain Killer. Love the Tiki vibe, the darkness, and the best pain killer in town. They also have delicious food to pair with those tropical beverages that you will oh so fall in love with.
Place is small and packs up quickly, come early. Best as soon as they open at 4pm. Once you Hale Pele, you are hooked 😊
