Gallo Nero - Portland - Photo album

Excellent service and a romantic atmosphere. A good variety of food to choose from, all of the ingredients being very fresh and well cooked.
Must go to for authentic Italian. Fresh burrata with mortadella slices for appetizer, and Gluten free GF mixed seafood spaghetti for the wife and a sage buttered pear ravioli with a side of polenta for this guy! Excellent service. Dim and quiet atmosphere perfect for a romantic evening out. Must see
I have to say that Trattoria Gallo Nero provides one of the most authentic experiences in Portland, when it comes to Italian cuisine. The restaurant organized a special event, featuring the wines of Franco Serra, paired with the chef's 4 course meal! The chef, cooks, servers and the rest of the staf
Always good food, service and atmosphere. Buon Appetito!
Great meal here with our 7 year old who was the only kid in the whole place while we were there. Food was very good particularly the pasta dishes. Service was lovely, helpful and kind but not at all pretentious. Prices were so reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food and drinks. Very
Came in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to get a table right away, though I'm sure the situation differs for dinner. They offer a wide variety of authentic Italian food ranging from appetizers, entrees, and dessert. We really enjoyed the meal overall, everything tasted great! I highly
Food is out of this world, service is amazing, atmosphere doesn’t hurt either! All in all a great place to get lunch or dinner if you want real Italian food with dynamic flavors.
The restaurant has a lovely elegant atmosphere. ✨ We had the Spaghetti Ai Frutti Di Mare (Bongole), Lasagna, Branzino Al Limone (Fish Special) and Tiramisu for dessert. All of them looked and tasted good and full of flavor. The dessert tiramisu was also in a glass and had a different flavor. The
This has to be the best Italian restaurant in Portland. Authentic, delicious food and professional, friendly service in an upscale yet unpretentious environment. Lasagna is amazing.
My mother, sister and I were visiting Portland over Mother's Day and came in for a last-minute dinner. What a delight. First off, our server was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the whole menu, and everything she brought us was delicious. I ordered the pasta pomodoro and it was simple but just
Food was great. Service was good. Owner swung by and said hello. Very relaxed atmosphere and no pressure to hurry, decide, eat, leave, etc. Not stuffy or fancy just to be fancy. Everything is high quality and done well. So upscale casual?
Well trained staff ,Mgr was so awesome and helpful. Food tasty and hot
Great service and food. Non dairy Italian from the Florence region. I had a chicken dish that was amazing.
One of the most authentic Italian dining experiences we've had in Portland. Everyone on the staff was kind and attentive, and every item we ordered was fantastic. Don't skip the tiramisu!
Had a great dinner and a good time sitting outside. Waiters were nice and funny. Next time we’ll try the pear Ravioli. Recommend!
Incredibly delicious. I probably had the best porcini risotto here since going to Italy. Waitress was excellent and the atmosphere is quiet and dark. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Portland.
Had lunch on a weekday. Service was fast and friendly, food ranged from decent (lemon chicken that was under seasoned) to very good (fresh pasta with meat sauce). Soft drinks served in a not quite cold can with no ice. Prices pretty much as you’d expect. Overall about as good as other somewhat upsca
