Can officially say it is my favorite vegetarian ramen spot in the city! Kayos was up there but this place takes the cake! Usually a small wait but very worth it! Have eaten there twice and blown away by the noodle quality, spicy broth, and overall no nonsense quality in taste! These people mean business and I would highly recommend it if you are vegetarian looking for ramen to come here!

We came here five years ago when visiting Portland and had to come back. The spicy beef ramen is flavorful and has the perfect ratios. The service was a little slow considering we came before the lunch rush, but it was hot and worth the wait! It gets a little cramped but if it’s nice out, there’s plenty of seating outside. I will be back next time we visit!

There is nothing better than a steaming bowl
of ramen on a chilly evening, and the food here hit the spot! The stand-out dish was actually the special for the day, the spicy karaage chicken. Hopefully this will make it onto the regular menu because it was so good, and the curry dipping sauce that came with it was perfect. My toddler kept saying “more, more!” I got the tonkotsu shoyu ramen and the flavor was rich and full and the pork just melted in my mouth. There were only 2 pieces of pork that came with it, so in the future I’d probably add more. There were plenty of vegan options as well.
Only downside was that the restaurant does not appear to have a heater and it was very cold inside the restaurant, especially by the door where we were seated. I wish I’d brought a bigger coat. The restaurant is small and lots of people were seated outside…definitely dress warmly! We arrived around 7:15 on a Friday night and the restaurant was full but there was hardly a line. They told us it would be 20 minutes wait to get our food and it took about 30. By 7:45 there was a huge line and they were saying 40 minute wait times for food.

Really good ramen. We had the chicken paitan (regular + red) and both were really rich and tasty. Portion was pretty good.
I would have definitely given 5 stars if we didn’t have to wait 45-50 mins (for lunch on Saturday)!
Tried the chicken wings as well. They were pretty good too, juicy and fresh/hot. Less sauce then I would have liked.
Black sesame icecream - this one is a hit or miss. I personally didn’t like the bitterness of the sesame. But it’s interesting for someone who might like to try a different flavor!
Lots of vegan options, good seating and friendly staff. Wait was the only negative.

Honestly, it was the pork inside the ramen that would make me come back. The broth and noodles are very standard, basic. Couldn’t believe how delicious that pork was. We also got the shrimp which was ok. It was fried so tough to mess up. The dipping sauce was a pretty basic Sriracha mayo. We also tried one of the rice/pork dishes (donburri) and it was a bit bland and dry. We ended up adding the sauce from our shrimp dish into that just to live it up a bit.

The best ramen place I have ever been to. I’m so grateful each and every time I get to go here. I always get the vegan tonyu red (spicy) with extra ramen noodles.
This place is amazing. I love it so much. Thank you to the chef and staff for making delicious food. I appreciate it! 😃

Amazing ramen in Portland! Highly recommend, the options are great and the meat variety is more than most places in Portland. The service is great and I love sitting outside and enjoying the hot ramen on a chilly day!

Fantastic ramen - but be prepared to wait! The line gets pretty crazy here, but it’s one of my favorite ramen spots. The employee said the “Tonkotsu Red” was the most popular dish, and I can vouch for its popularity! It’s not a ‘hot’ soup, it’s just ‘spicy.’
I’m glad I went here and I’d even consider going again to try more things!

Great Ramen at a Good Pricepoint. 26/30
I personally thought the ramen was pretty good, we had the tonkotsu and the summer special miso ramen. Ate every last bite and I think it was just the right amount to where you don’t feel too sluggish right after and not be too hungry. The ramen was flavorful and the meat was pretty good. Would recommend and I didn’t have any issues in terms of wait times so I have no complaints!

I got the spicy pork broth ramen and it was 10/10 matching everything I want from a bowl full. Also got the fried chicken wings that were juicy and crispy with decent tasting sauce on them 7/10. Brand of drink I've never had before 10/10. House-made cup of mango sherbet 10/20 and was wishing for more. One flaw was the few flies buzzing around which dampened the atmosphere rating I gave. I'll be back though.
