Red Onion Thai Cuisine - Portland - Photo album

Great presentation, good food, amazing Thai tea. The presentation of the food and atmosphere of the place were great! Every dish came out really pretty and delicious. Do note though that most dishes are on the sweeter side but I feel like with Thai food it’s either spicy, sweet or a combo of both.
This place offers flavorful and authentic Thai food, definitely recommend. Started with shrimp salad rolls with peanut sauce and thai iced tea which was amazing. My friend had the veggie cashew nut dish and I had the beef drunken noodles (Pad see ew). The portions are on point, you won't leave hungr
Red Onion is a nice restaurant! The staff was very friendly. Our order came quickly and was nice and hot. And the food tasted fresh. I rated the atmosphere a 3 only because it's nothing to write home about. Very plain. (If you're into the atmosphere experience, this may not be the place for you.) Ot
A solid place to go for lunch when in the NW 23rd area. The place has a decent lunch menu and reasonable prices. The portions are healthy and great for sharing. The service is attentive and quick. The Drunken Noodles and Chinese Susage Fried Rice were worth ordering over the Tom Yum Noodle Soup i
This has to b one of the best lunch specials in the city! Super friendly and quick service, huge portions and the food is delicious and fresh! New favorite go to on my lunch breaks ✨
Monday night at 7:30 we found it almost empty, surprisingly after we ate here there’s not too many people dining here. Food taste is consistently really good, both times we ordered Tender Beef and Chili Chicken., I ordered both spicy and oh so good! We are coming back soon 😋 the only part that can i
We have been in search of good Thai take out since our favorite place in NW, eSan Thai off NW Thurman, closed down awhile back. But every time we order from some place new, we are sadly disappointed… until tonight. Red Onion is officially our new go to place for anything and everything Thai. The
I ordered the beef, pumpkin massaman curry dish and it was legitimately one of the best curry dishes I've ever tasted. The beef was completely tender like a slow-cooked stew beef should be. I could break it apart with a fork without force. The flavor and consistency of the sauce was *perfect*, and
I love Thai and this place is authentic and delicious. Service for takeout was okay but the food was excellent and the lunch prices were equally excellent. The rice was tasty, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the noodles were scrumptious.
Food is typically good here, solid Pad Thai, great crab cakes, and drinks. Not over priced. This time, I had veggies and peanut sauce, "the emerald". The veggies were super soggy, with no flavor and lots of excess water on the plate from the boiled veggies. I had to actually drain it, kinda gross. E
Very new, clean bright spacious... Delicious food, good service. In the past, for me, some Thai food has been too sweet, salty, or fish oily . BUT ! Red Onion is delicious, tasty, and possibly a bit different. I'm going back !
Great food, awesome service, large portions. Lemon chicken with lime sauce and greens Stir-fried green curry beef and rice Enough food to fill us up and leftovers. Every time I visit Portland for work, this is a top go-to.
I love this place! Service is the best ♥️ Food is amazing 👍🏻 Thank you for being nice and kind to your costumers 👏🏻🙌🏻 We will come back soon 🔜
We started our meal with a special appetizer which was similar to Indian samosas with a lovely salad and a refreshing cucumber dressing. Followed with a delicious Tom ka soup and pad thai, beef and salmon pa nang curries as entrees. Everything tasted like it was freshly prepared and so flavorful, i
Love their spring rolls, fresh and fried. I love getting Pad Thai and the mango/rice dessert.
We had the pineapple fried rice, sausage fried rice, and egg rolls. Tasted very fresh, excellent flavor and ingredients. We generally prefer a higher spice level, and they didn't have any chili oil or hot sauce, only red pepper flakes. It was also freezing inside, but better than too hot!
