This is one of my favorite places to eat in Portland. The food is So flavorful that you simply can't go wrong no matter what you order. The service is outstanding, even when they are having a rush or are understaffed. There's also a good chance you meet the owner while dining, as he's frequently taking orders, serving drinks or doing something else to keep everything running smoothly.

Fusion food in a fun place for friends and family. I did a habanero challenge and got my pic on the Wall of Flame!

The jumbalaya was as good as any I've had in New Orleans. The Cubano was also delicious. The ambiance here is more like a hole in the wall... Nothing fancy. But the food is fantastic.

Great spot for Mexican and a variety of other cuisines. Great cocktails and appetizers (try the great balls of fire) as well. Our server Nathan was excellent. Highly recommend.

Fun and eclectic menu. My jambalaya was not like what many may be used to in New Orleans, but it hit the spot for the savory smoky rice dish I was after and the portion was generous. The bulgogi beef tacos were perfectly tender and savory. Tiki drinks were tasty and very reasonably priced. I will be back to try more.

I love this place! Food from all over, and it’s all good and hard to chose! The parking lot can be tricky at times, but only when it’s busy. Very fun and funky atmosphere.

We ordered the Shanghai Cowboy Rolls and one Great Balls of Fire. The rolls are excellent! Definitely a worthy appetizer to try. The Great Balls of Fire live up to their name, but I feel fairly confident to be able to eat all 5 and earn my picture on the Hall of Flame. The real winner of the day belongs to the Drum Pan Jerk BBQ. What a powerhouse of delicious flavors. And normally I'll pass on plantains, but I was shocked at how much I enjoyed these. We also ordered the Baja Saba Fish Tacos, however, we felt that it was just lacking that extra kick to make it a memorable dish. It's not that it's bad, but there just wasn't anything really that screamed, "come back and order this again", the way that Drum Pan Jerk did (I will be back for that!) Finally we washed it all down with a Painkiller, which was delicious and went well with the Tiki Bar theme. Overall, this place is worthy of multiple visits and can't wait to continue to explore more of their menu. And get my picture on their wall. Challenge accepted

Flavors were great! My only critique was of my dish “Kahlúa Moho Pork”. It was described as “Hawaiian” and it felt pretty much entirely Cuban and was missing the sauce that was supposed to accompany. It was just ok, which was a bummer for being the most expensive entree on the menu. The Plantains we ordered as an appetizer, however, were the star of the show. Honestly I could have just ordered them and been a happy camper!

Very neat little place! Had a wonderful lunch here, surprisingly tasty vegetarian options! *The veg. tamale was so good! Beautiful and had all the goodies! Not a skinny little tamale! *Sweet potato fries were SAWEEET! (Would be killer with pink fry sauce) *Guacamole was awesome, a little too limey for me but my son and daughter-in-law thought it was perfect! *Tofu torta was tasty. Perfect, friendly service, wasn’t crazy busy which was NICE! Portions were generous and the presentations of the dishes were nicely placed and served on my favorite home dishes, Fiestaware!

One of my neighborhood favorites! I love the eclectic options with spicy flavors! I also like their cocktails and beer choices! Today I had Sasquatch Coffee Lager and my go to dining option of a Molly Tamale. I enjoy the atmosphere and energy of this colorful restaurant.
