Edelweiss Sausage& Delicatessen - Portland - Photo album

I was excited to visit here because my German raised friend stated this was one of her favorite German type delis in Portland, OR. There were lots of sausages, meats, breads, wines, and market goods to choose from. I especially enjoyed the candy aisle! The deli-store was very tidy. We had lunch t
Thought it was pretty pricey when I saw the menu, but I do appreciate the fact that they make everything in house, so it is what it is. I decided on the Pastrami Reuben. As you can see in the picture, it is a very proper looking sandwich. My only gripe was, the bread was extremely toasted. The top o
Love love love a piece of Germany in portland. Excellent quality and selection of sausages, several varieties of freshly smoked ham and many other authentic German treats . Highly recommend
Always come here whenever I’m in Portland. Delicious sandwiches, bottled beers, and the meats. Pick up a loaf of bread and some cheese, add some Milka chocolates and you’ll have a solid day.
Been there three times, every time I come back to Portland. Had a Reuben sandwich, delicious on dark bread. Bought some brats, cheese, rolls for the BBQ. Beef jerky for the trip home. All the meats are made on site, smoked on site too. Breads imported from Germany. Everything was good, well wor
4.5 stars. Fun place and was very busy. So much to look at. We got the Lebakasa(sp?) and it was AMAZING. My son wasn't into the German potato salad because it is warm but it brought back memories from my Grandma's potato salad. So yummy. This is a must to visit.
Tasty sandwiches and excellent meat, cheese and beer selections. This little neighborhood german deli is a great spot for a lunch sandwiches or to grab some meats and groceries.
I love the French liverwurst. All the sausages I've had have been excellent. Great grocery selection. Very good beer case, too. Good service but can be slow when busy. Don't forget to take a number!
I love their bratwurst and sauerkraut. Their Reuben is one of the best I have ever had. And of course their deli is top tier as well. There is a good selection of German beer and German products as well.
Great selection in European chocolate, wine, beer, food. With a such a large selection of meats, I was disappointed you can't try before purchasing. I got 4 kinds of sausages and one I dislike (10$ down the drain). The other ones were delicious. Some of the items were 1/3 more expensive than in othe
Great selection of deli meats, cheeses, sweets, and imported food/beverage items. They also have a hot lunch counter that takes phone and live orders where they offer a great selection of sausages, reubens, soup of the day, cold sides and fountain drinks.
Best German Deli in the city. I love this place. Its so good it kept me living 4 blocks away for years longer than I should have. They fly in dough FROM GERMANY, and then bake it in house. If you love European sweets, German beer and wine and the best house made sausages in town, you will love this
Great deli! I ordered a brat and bun from the hot deli. They have many pastry and beer options. The shop feels like you are in Europe. (Update — January 18th, 2023) I’m a regular customer now. The chili cheese bratwurst with relish, sauerkraut, diced red onions and mustard and ketchup was amaz
The best European delicatessen in the area. We love getting fresh German farm bread whose dough is made in Germany, shipped to Portland and baked there. Smoked pork, sauerkraut and bratwurst are our favorites. Worth a drive to get authentic German food.
Met my Aunt for coffee and pastry and had a nice visit and tour of store. German Chocolates, wines, sausages, cheeses, and handmade wooden figures, nutcrackers, and clocks.
Yummy sausages and awesome treats in the grocery section. This time around we got sausages to grill at home and got to try a variety of 5. The quality of the sausage is really high. The cheddar jalapeño was delicious.
Cute little “hole in the wall” store and deli. Would not have known how good it was if I hadn’t seen it on a cooking show before I moved here. The Reuben was absolutely delicious.
