I couldn't have be more impressed with the food. The rosemary garlic bologna was the best bologna I've ever had, the spicy jerky wasn't quite your typical jerkey but incredible flavor and tons of heat, and the wine salami was the most complex, scumpcious deli meat I've ever tasted.

This place is the best. We visited twice in our 4 day trip. Very helpful employees, amassing food. The Ruben is the best sandwich I've ever had. Their German potato salad is so great. Hubby loved the beer as well.

I was excited to visit here because my German raised friend stated this was one of her favorite German type delis in Portland, OR. There were lots of sausages, meats, breads, wines, and market goods to choose from. I especially enjoyed the candy aisle! The deli-store was very tidy. We had lunch there as well. The Ruben sandwich had ample meat, saurkraut, and cheese, but it was just a tad bland. My friend told me the sausage lunches are the best. Great customer service in all aspects. I'm looking forward to revisiting!

Thought it was pretty pricey when I saw the menu, but I do appreciate the fact that they make everything in house, so it is what it is. I decided on the Pastrami Reuben. As you can see in the picture, it is a very proper looking sandwich. My only gripe was, the bread was extremely toasted. The top of my mouth did not appreciate it whatsoever. It was rough. But the meat and the sauce, absolutely delicious. If I got it again, I would definitely just ask for either lightly toasted, or not toasted at all. Other than that, I think they do a solid job.

Always come here whenever I’m in Portland. Delicious sandwiches, bottled beers, and the meats. Pick up a loaf of bread and some cheese, add some Milka chocolates and you’ll have a solid day.

Been there three times, every time I come back to Portland. Had a Reuben sandwich, delicious on dark bread. Bought some brats, cheese, rolls for the BBQ. Beef jerky for the trip home. All the meats are made on site, smoked on site too. Breads imported from Germany. Everything was good, well worth the side trip if it's not on your way somewhere else. I'll be back on my next visit.

4.5 stars. Fun place and was very busy. So much to look at. We got the Lebakasa(sp?) and it was AMAZING. My son wasn't into the German potato salad because it is warm but it brought back memories from my Grandma's potato salad. So yummy. This is a must to visit.

I love the French liverwurst. All the sausages I've had have been excellent. Great grocery selection. Very good beer case, too. Good service but can be slow when busy. Don't forget to take a number!

I love their bratwurst and sauerkraut. Their Reuben is one of the best I have ever had. And of course their deli is top tier as well. There is a good selection of German beer and German products as well.

Great selection in European chocolate, wine, beer, food. With a such a large selection of meats, I was disappointed you can't try before purchasing. I got 4 kinds of sausages and one I dislike (10$ down the drain). The other ones were delicious. Some of the items were 1/3 more expensive than in other European stores, nothing was less. Bottom line - I will be back, but not so often.
