The Observatory - Portland - Photo album

We found this place after chasing the sunset at Mt. Tabor. We had the Chipotle elk burger, which my partner thought was average. I had the Coconut snapper because I have allergies. I'm always happy when the kitchen can accommodate my allergies to gluten, egg and dairy. Service was attentive and
Met a friend for lunch and tried the chicken salad with bacon. Very tasty, lots of chicken, bacon wasn’t as expected but it’s fine. Very generous portion. I really liked the julienned sugar snap peas, that was a very nice touch. I like the atmosphere but it’s especially loud. Lots of sharp surfaces
Ordered the fry bread and the lamb burger (cooked medium). Both were very good. Tasty, quality food. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food came out pretty quickly. Love it. Will be back next time we're in town. Added notes: the bathrooms were single stall unisex and clean. There was a s
Observatory has been around quite a while and I've eaten here many times. Tonight I started with the caesar salad that was ok.. it needed a bit more dressing and never heard of red bell pepper in a caesar before, but it was ok. The BBQ wings were tasty, maybe a bit on the scrawny side but still ta
One of my favorite places in Portland. Had a friend drive up from Albany jyst for lunch there! I definitely recommend the fish and chips(garlic fries are a must). The drinks are crafted and amazing. And the staff are long timers, not newbies they know their stuff! Please tip them well.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. We’ve literally been there more than 100 times and it’s consistently amazing. They have the best fresh seafood, burgers, appetizers, cocktails, and more. My favorite is the salmon. It’s perfection. I also love their lavender gin lemon drops. We’ve never h
After seeing all the beautiful waterfalls by the Columbia River Gorge, we headed to the Observatory for an early dinner/happy hour. There are a lot of restaurants in this area but it was a great decision to pick the Observatory. Their cocktails tasted great especially their gin and tonic and long i
Andrian was very nice. The atmosphere is fantastic. I like this place. Salad is great! B
The food and drinks are amazing. We started with fry bread (must have) and had the elk burger and Brie grilled cheese for our main course. The lavender creme brulee was delicately balanced in flavor. The meal was perfect in every way. Our first time here, we will be back!!!
We loved this place. Service, food, cocktails, ambience— all simply fantastic. We did not eat a single thing at The Observatory we didn’t like. Prices are right on par for Portland, and the food quality is excellent for the money. In particular, the andouille mac and cheese and the tom kha cocktail
We came in for Brunch. It was later in the afternoon so there was no wait. All of the dishes we ordered were nicely present and delicious Services was prompt-staff was nice and attentive. The drinks were not as good as I remembered-but we still enjoyed our time there.
Food was delicious and ambiance was great. The music was pretty loud, which made it hard to hear, even when sitting right next to someone. After we got our food the sever didn't come back until we were done with our meal. I am a very slow eater, for reference. We would have likely order at least one
They have a really cool portland vibe and it seems to be very well run and clean which i appreciate even more post pandemic. Theres even some outside seating. Its a cool small local business with the nicest staff, the food is killer, destination brunch spot, well stocked and tended bar. I definitely
As usual, The Observatory does not disappoint. Amazing food, great atmosphere and some of the best drinks in Portland. Had the Reuben, Lamb Burger and Garlic Parmesan Rosemary Fries as well as their Happy Hour drink (Vanilla Jim Beam Kentucky Mule), The Capricorn and Prickly Pear Pineapple Margarita
Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere! Drinks were OK. They do say they're spicy, but would have liked to taste something other than spice. The food was great. Meatloaf was okay, mashed potatoes were amazing. The steak was the star of the show -- I wish I would have gotten that, but I stole a few bite
Found this restaurant by chance and was completely impressed by how good their food and drinks were. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back!
