Nice place on the river. You almost feel like you are on a beach resort. Food was great, service was great. Had a slight wait to enter, but we were able to get drinks. The ramp to get to this place was slightly challenging, but well worth it. A nice place to go, especially if the weather is nice.

FYI: if you cannot Handel steep downgrades or steep upgrades or have heart or cardiovascular issues then you should not go here as the ramp is very steep. Now that the warning is out of the way, what a great little find. As the name suggest it’s a beachy Island theme. I went during lunch and was accommodated right away. Drinks were poured nicely and the food was great! Generous portions with quality taste. Great views of the water and a nice island breeze. Look for this spot it’s worth a drive.

Excellent place , service was 5 + amazing how a experience change so much when someone is cordial and nice, views of the river and walk in the bay .. menu is straightforward . This place is a must.... food was really good. The clam soup was one of the best I had , and fish tacos amazing .. the mai tai drink was a 5 .

Maybe the best clam chowder I’ve ever had, and that says a lot. The atmosphere is really neat as well but like other reviewers have mentioned, the ramp down could be tricky to some with limited mobility. We got the fish and chips. They were good. The fries were excellent. Coleslaw was more on the dry side which isn’t my preference but still enjoyed it. I am excited to come back as this place is kind of a hidden gem.

We had an extra day in Portland after I finished my work and just wanted to see the area. My wife found Island Cafe in one of her searches, and we stopped in for lunch. It was awesome... the food, the staff, and the setting. If we are in the Portland area again, it will be on the list.

This location is incredible! It's a little island/paradise vibe close to home. We were not overly impressed by the food - hence the 4 stars. However, we will definitely be going back for the atmosphere!

Really, this needs about 12 stars for atmosphere. Ask for Devon. She's a great server! For is as good as the view.

This was a new experience for us. We have never dined on a floating cafe. The wait was a bit long, but it was a sunny beautiful Saturday evening. The menu had alot of different items. There were even a few gluten free entrees. Everything was good and the portion sizes were large. The service was good but the new hire was not well trained for our size of group. A seasoned waitress came to help and teach the new girl. We watched boats drive by while waiting for our meals. We will eat here again at a less busy time. One negative thing, Which is totally out of their control, the ramp to go down to the cafe was steep due to the low water level. But something to know for some families. There is also a small novelty store next to the restaurant. Fun to look in while waiting. We found a few trinkets and treasures!

We loved this place! Outdoor seating near the water with good vibes. There was a 20 minute wait, but we could order and consume drinks during the wait and sit in a shaded area. The wait staff was friendly, good variety on the menu. Food was excellent, from salads to burgers to tuna. We would eat here again!

Great place floating on the Columbia River. Delicious food And tasty drinks. The atmosphere is amazing with boats docking along side and much waterfowl making their rounds.
