An ALL VEGAN restaurant that I would definitely recommend. Maybe the picture I’m posting isn’t inspiring, but it was a super delicious bowl of yumminess. I enjoyed every single bite! All those sections of different flavors were PERFECT. I was first tempted to mix it all together, but then I just put different combinations on each fork-full. So each bite was different and each one was very tasty. Very friendly service and an over-all great dining experience.
Healthy food that tastes great, everything we ordered was amazing. We came around 8pm and sat on the patio outside with our dog and cat. It was warm enough in mid October. Great for vegan/vegetarian pet owners.
Blossoming Lotus is a great place to get a vegan meal. They have great food and cocktails. It's great to have vegan options that aren't reliant upon the new meat alternatives. Their walnut sausage is amazing. The Benedict is phenomenal. The breakfast tacos are delicious. Also, the bloody mary is refreshing. They make their own mix, which is obviously a good sign they know what they're doing. Try the beet bloody mary for a good twist on a classic cocktail.
We ordered “pick up” via phone looking at the online menu. Apparently the menu online is not the same as in the restaurant. So one of our orders was “wrong” and my husband can’t have certain foods. So when I called to check the ingredients (after we had left) and we all realized the order wasn’t the same as what we had expected. They comped his meal and I was pleasantly surprised at the integrity of the restaurant. I didn’t even ask for handouts. I appreciated the gesture since my husband couldn’t eat his meal. Not many businesses care about their customers, so that alone elevates Blooming Lotus! I LOVED my food. I got the mac n cheese and the green bowl and I totally recommend them. I had a piece if kale so big, good thing I wasn’t on a first date ;) maybe chip the kale smaller for potential first dates! Haha. Great flavors. Fast service. Eco-packaging. Nice staff. (Looked clean, but I just went in to pick up a meal, not sure of bathrooms, parking nearby)
Great fresh foods and unique flavors! Even though the outdoor table we sat at was right up against the street, because it was enclosed and had nice lighting and ambiance, it felt special and fun. Our dog in his stroller fit nicely right alongside our table. We had a really good zero proof drink and wine, good yakisoba, and a mind-blowing flatbread special with peaches, tomatoes, beets, squash, and jalapeño pesto. Our server was super nice and gave us good advice. We were very glad we listened to the server's recommendation on that special. It was inspiring!
My wife and I absolutely LOVE this place. Our favorite restaurant in Portland. We go on the weekends because their Brunch menu is 🔥. I got the GF Lotus Benedict and my wife got the Hash. Also...their KALE... I don't think we've ever had a better one! We are obsessed. Will be back again, no questions asked!
In a word --- WOW! I love this restaurant. The best all vegan I've experienced so far. They have plentiful dishes to try. And, although I've just been here twice (so far), I've got 5 dishes plus 2 desserts under my belt so that I can safely say that this place rocks! Okay, so on my first visit a few weeks ago, I tried the Vegan Salad Sandwich (made of chickpeas and other vegan goodies with a delicious sauce) and soup (it was chili that day) and the relative had the BBQ bowl. We sampled each other's plates. The sandwich was super delicious and was served on French baguette, just the right amount of flavor and it was so satisfying. Her BBQ plate was yummy, the soy curl BBQ 'meat' was tender and tasty, same for the black beans and slaw. I am not a fan of their Mac n cheese but my relative liked it. The Mac n cheese was just a smidge bland for my taste (for exp. I like to make mine with a sharp cheddar and jalapeño jack, I like it flavorful) so I wouldn't order the Mac n cheese on my future visits but the noodles were nice! My next trip I had the Yakisoba noodles which have become a favorite they are so delicious and tasty. I do wish they'd add more veggies but that's ok, bc the portion was enough so that I had to take a to-go bag. We also split a Buffalo Ranch Salad which I highly recommend. The flavors coming off of those fresh delicious veggies was so satisfying and their dressing was to so yummy! We also ordered a Thai wrap which was good. Lots of fresh tasty crunchy veggies including a little mint which was a nice tough. For dessert, I had an apple crisp with coconut whip which was so darn good that I came back the next day to have another one of those! I'll be trying their brunch out in the next couple of weeks and am really looking forward to sharing that experience with a visitor from out of town. They are in for a treat!! Really good service here too. Parking is a little tricky it's all on the street but it is free, so there's that. 5 stars all the way!
HIGHLY recommend eating here! Great service, great vibes, and menu choices are SO FUN and creative! Raw nachos (half serving) were my favorite!!! Brussels sprouts were THE BEST!!! Mac and cheese was alright, creamy lemon pepper pasta was good but not my favorite, raw mango cheesecake was delicious! I can’t wait to come back here and try some other menu items! 🙏🏼
Absolutely scrumptious 100% vegan food. Outdoor seating is covered and the benches are comfortable. The breakfast tacos need no extra hot sauce, but the sauce is delicious if you’re looking to kick it up a notch.
My favorite new restaurant in Portland. 100% plant based with many things gluten free. I enjoyed Lotus Benedict while dad loved the lentil burger. We also enjoyed Spinach mushroom plate and seasonal root hash. The strawberry cheesecake and fudge wrapped up the meal. We plan to return to taste more flavors.
