We got the variety donuts platters for our group to share and everything was so good. The donuts were the perfect bite-size and gloriously warm and well balanced. My favorites were the Nutella bacon and honey sea salt, but all of them were delicious. Our group also got a chai flight and their spiced apple cider as well as iced coffees. Unfortunately the chais were disappointing because the milk to chai ratio was off, making everything taste very milky without enough spices, but the apple cider was delicious. It's also so nice that all drinks are the same price, no matter the size!
Sad to say that the first day I made it here was
my birthday, but it won’t be my last. It’s such a special treat if you’re in Portland, and the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s nice that places like this exist.
I rated 4 stars because of the parking is very very limited! I like the decor and pink tiles. The donuts are scrumptious n delicious! Never come on the weekend or there will be a long line. We came on a Thursday morning, there was no line and no wait. When we sat down for a few minutes our order was ready. Then there was a line when we were eating our donuts. Also we ordered 4 each my my mom I, so 8 total. They gave us 2 donuts added for free which was nice. We got a great parking spot right by the door! I got the non caffeinated drink which was the Emmylou drink and it tasted good.
Love Pip’s!! Long lines around 11-2 on most days, parking is on the street and in the neighborhoods only. Tables are first come first serve (usually after you order)
Their menu stays the same all year round, and they have 1 seasonal flavor that changes usually something fruity (e.g. banana, strawberry rhubarb, blueberry, etc.) and they have a secret menu you can ask about.
Their house chai is pretty ok, definitely spicy and full of flavor. But their matcha and coffee are superb!
Prices used to be so low but they’ve went up like everything else in Portland.
We had the chai sampler and our favourite was the King and I and Emmy Lou. Mini doughnuts were all good but Reggie Lee and especially the bacon stood out. Like up wasn’t too bad when we came at 1030 on Friday.
We got the 6 donuts to try each flavor and 2 chi. The donuts seemed like a dressed up version of the staye fair classic. The toppings were good and it was fun to try all the flavors.
Be prepared to wait in line, but totally worth the wait. Customers are excited to be there, so the line is fun. Donuts and drinks are made fresh and are delicious. Our group tried all of the donuts and we were happy with all of them.
It is unreal how good these donut are! It is hands down the best donuts I’ve ever had. Kinda like they should be categorized as not donuts but something of a higher calling.
Seriously though the staff was great, donuts were amazing, and the chai was really good! Will certainly be back!
Loved this place! Stopped by on a Wednesday morning on our way to hike. Donuts were perfectly warm with a great texture. We tried all of the ones they had - cinnamon sugar, Nutella/salt, honey / salt, cinnamon sugar + Nutella salt, maple bacon, chai and marionberry. I loved all of them really. Honey salt is a nice simple one (also I'm a sucker for salt in my sweets), maple bacon is an obvious exciting one and the marionberry jam was super good.
We also got the chai flight which I've never seen before but as a mostly tea person was very exciting. The King and I and the Heart of Gold were probably my favorites although the herbal one would be perfect at night.
Super friendly service, no wait on a Wednesday morning around 9, would definitely go back !
Still dreaming about the candied maple bacon donut! Place is kinda small but cozy inside; parking very limited. I arrived about 30 minutes before they opened on a Sunday and there was already a line. Once open, the line moved at a decent pace. I ordered a dozen - they are bite size. 10 stars for flavor (warm donuts for the win).
