After driving from Chicago to our hotel in Portage we had a hankering for a nice Steak dinner, so we did what your doing now (Googled local steak joints) and after reading a bunch of reviews, we settled on Cimaroli's and I'm glad we did!
The atmosphere was nice, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the Flat Iron Steak was cooked to order and it was really good.
They are reasonably priced for what you get. My 24 oz Steak was $27.95 with soup and side
We hit the jackpot going on a Wed. Live music in the bar as we enjoyed our potent $3 Old Fashions. Had the crab appetizer , flat iron steak and lobster tail. I had the Irish potatoes (so yum), and my friend opted for the baked potato. We had the caramel cheesecake and the raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Definitely a come back again place.
Excellent food and friendly service! Onion ring appetizer, husband had prime rib, and I had pasta sauce all had a great flavor. Including the rolls. Definitely would go back.
1st time here and heard nothing but good things about this place!
Started off with carbonated water Brandy Old Fashioned but they were quick to fix! From Escargot to Steak and Duck it was Delicious! Met 3 very nice couples and laughed so hard. Definitely coming back!
We had an excellent dinner experience. Showed up around 4 PM, relaxed in the bar with drinks, which were generous and delicious. Then at dinner, the prime rib was outstanding and the barbecue pork ribs were very good (maybe just a bit dry). The service was world class in the lounge and at our dinner table. I wish I could remember the server’s name. There was a genuine “supper club“ feel to the place because we met so many friendly people. We plan to go back tomorrow night, which is only three nights after our first visit.
The food was tasty and service was efficient. Great experience overall. Old fashioneds are cheap at $3 for basic ones. The typical oldies supper club that has been in business for years because they know how to please. Definatly worth a try. We had the starter of, spinach and artichoke dip and mains were, beef tips and shrimp.
The flat iron steak is amazingly tender and delicious. Their fried shrimp side was also perfectly cooked. The only recommendations I would make a would be to ask for your steak a step more rare, since it keeps cooking on the sizzling plate, and for them to swap out their margarine-based garlic "butter" for real butter.
