This place was very good we went on a Sunday for lunch ordered the chicken wheelhouse and the Southwest hamburger they were really good specially that chicken highly recommended, the outdoors was awesome is pretty much one of the only places you can see the river and eat! Been here before and we love it

This was a kill two birds with one stone for me. It was my mom's birthday and I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. I love eating by the bay and I love seafood, so eating here was a no brainer for me. First off, the server was great and understanding. But at times he seem to forget about us. Second of all, the food was really good. But the food that came highly recommend by Good Taste TV and Tanji. I really didn't care for. The boudin pizza and the Texas Tuna tower. They were nice, but I can live without them, honestly. They weren't to die for. But on the other hand. I tried a small order of the Seafood Nachos .. wow that was delicious!! It comes with shrimp, crab, and crawfish covered in green onions and cheese. Did I mention the cheese!! .. covered in it. I could order a large portion easily next time around. Third of all. We were sitting outside where they placed a plastic covering around the outside seating tables. I guess to keep the birds away. But it don't. They just find a way in and the staff does nothing about them. In the middle of eating my boudin pizza. I literally saw one of the birds use the restroom on the table right next to me. Which killed my appetite and by this time, I was ready to go. I'll definitely be back, but since it's two hours away. I'm not sure when.
The weather was perfect on the patio when we went! It's been sometime since we've been here and man have we been missing out! The brunch was amazing 😋 the Eggchiladas were amazing, I got mine with scrambled eggs they usually come with over easy. Chris got the tacos and fruit. Let me tell ya! That fruit was so fresh and juicy! Coby was an amazing bartender and made us a delicious grapefruit mimosa with an extra shot of coconut rum. Everything about the visit was perfect 10/10
Great food and fun atmosphere. We brought my mother-in-law for her first time to visit. The food is alway good and it has good portion sizes. Every time we spilt a dinner there they put it on 2 different plates for us and make it look nice. That's such a nice touch.
Nothing like it in the area. Great location, right on the Neches river. The Wheelhouse serves up consistently tasty food with an extensive menu, and friendly, attentive service. I had the Salmon...delish!
There is also a really cool outdoor bar with a salt life/island feel (that gets packed) featuring live music most weekends.

Nice place on the water. Lunch on a Saturday is a little hectic and loud. We were there around 1:30 on a Saturday and it was like being in a night club, noise wise. I started with firecracker shrimp which was delicious. For my entree I had the Cajun Grilled Cheese which was decent, but I wouldn't get it again. The onion rings were could as well as the sandwich. Will probably go again and try something different. Recommend stopping here at least once to enjoy a waterfront meal.
