If you are in or near Port Jefferson, this restaurant is a must-visit. It is clean, the food is delicious, and the customer service is always great. My advice to new customers is to be careful with the food portions.
Their portions are massive, so be careful not to over-order, thinking you will get small portions like other restaurants. The prices are also great. For me and my wife, I only paid $70 for the following:
1 burrito
1 order of tostones
3 tacos
1 chicken enchilada
2 Jarritos
Food is good. I had take out and the cauliflower bites were delicious. The hot mango sauce that comes with it is amazing and super spicy! I also had the bean pupusa which was very good. I like the size & that it came with the coleslaw/salad on top. Also went in for lunch, the service was a bit slow considering there were only 3 other tables but it seemed like the waitress was also playing bartender. Drinks were good. Their chips & salsa are fun cause they’re big, round, fried tortillas. Very good. Location is in prime spot and it’s upstairs so kind of away from the chaos of Main Street during the summer which is nice. Will be back.
Great service, great food, nice place and nice music. Careful with the spicy food. It might be a tad too above average for some. Their seasonal cocktails are pretty good and the staff is really nice.
Barito Tacos and Cocktails in Port Jefferson Village is a culinary gem! The tacos are a symphony of flavors—amazingly fresh and expertly crafted. Matt and his staff from Barito are amazing! I was able to pull off a “Taco ‘bout a Baby” themed baby shower thanks to them! The food was amazing, all of our guests raved about it and they also made me a fun teal colored alcoholic punch for our guests to suit the theme of this baby boy shower! They were so gracious to allow me time to set up ahead of time with the cutest combination of baby and taco themed balloons from HopPopCreations with a specific area for our adorable cake from Sweet Eats by Rita and gift table which was so needed and perfect! Can’t wait to go back now that the weathers nice.. the location is also prime! After we walked around the town of port Jefferson, did some shopping, went down by the water and walked to the best park and homemade ice-cream place for the kids! Thanks again, Barito! We will be back!
Good food, absolutely the worse horrible service and the place had a 1/3 of its tables empty so there is no excuse, people were leaving after sitting there waiting forever . Even after pointing it out politely nothing changed and the problem was just ignored. I Will give them a second chance

We went on a Tuesday and even though it was busy, our food & drinks came out fast! Our server was great.
Highly recommend the Nachos and the Crispy Cauliflower. We tried some of the dishes on their specials menu & the Nacho Crunchwrap is a must! As far as drinks go, they’re creative and delicious. I’m picky with my margaritas but these were seriously good. Rainbow Empanadas were awesome — never had anything like it!!

I had a steak fajita and it was flavorful & delicious. My husband ordered a tasty martini…And the second floor seating is incredible with a loft ceiling by the windows.
My Boyfriend and I came here for date night and omg, the food was delicious. I order shrimp tacos which were to die for and he got a combination of 3 tacos; Carnitas, chicken and steak, he said they were delicious. I also ordered a Hibiscus margarita light because I’m not much of a drinker and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the place is nice and clean. Try it out if you are around here!!
Slammin'. Taco Tuesday is a must. Shrimp. Duck. Chicken. Crunchy taco. Wonderful mix of flavors. Can get soft tacos too
And instead of $20 for 3, it's only $10. ONLY ON TUESDAYS. Happy hour ends at 7. Go early. They're getting reeeealy busy cause the food is soooo fresh and word is getting around
