La Barataria is an excellent spot to grab a bite! When I went, I ordered the grilled chicken breast, served with cream corn, garlic mashed potatoes, and a side of caramelized carrots. The chicken breast was large, plump, and juicy, with a delicious flavor. The cream corn was some of the best I've ever had, while the potatoes were light, fluffy, and seasoned very well. Lastly, the carrots were an excellent compliment to everything else, and overall the meal left me wanting more. Would definitely recommend.
Love it. I will say the portions are huge. 2 people can split any dish. The food was so amazing and I just don’t have enough creative and wonderful words to say about how they decorated the place. Cutest thing ever. I’ll soooo go back without a doubt.
My partner and i split a burger and the Seafood Sampler. The burger was amazing and the buns were so soft. The seafood had its ups and downs. The fried oysters were good, the crab cake was delicious, the fried shrimp and fish may have been cooked a tad too long as they were a bit on the dry side
i didnt have any drinks but the happy hour prices looked good. staff was nice and friendly.
Absolutely best restaurant in Port A. Great selection of delicious food. Best Gumbo Ive ever had and my son ate every bit of their chicken tenders. Drinks were phenomenal. Daniel and Brandon truly made our dining experience enjoyable. A humble staff that are not only friendly and hospitable, but truly passionate about what they do. My family and I will definitely return!
This was my 3rd time in Port-A. Twice before I've dined at different restaurants and they both were Poor Choices...(Virginia's on the Bay is just terrible). The Service was Great...ask for Daniel ! He normally cooks but he served us fantastically ! I had the Shrimp & Grits with Chorizo...Yes it was freaking Good ! Daniel made our Son a Shrimp Cocktail (off Menu) and it was delicious!! Sit Upstairs and dine outside and enjoy the breeze. You have a Great View and can see "terrible Virginia's" from the Upperdeck. Coming back tonight for Dinner. I rated them 4-Stars today, but dinner tonight will get them a 5-Star !
This is our 2nd mini vacay to Port A, and we FINALLY got Great food! And, we loved sitting on the upper deck for a breeze. Daniel waited on us but cooks normally, amazing service! My son loves boiled shrimp (not on the menu), but Daniel made the best shrimp cocktail plate he's EVER had! Our 10 & 8 year olds convinced us that this will also be our place for dinner tonight, didn't have to twist my arm. Can't wait to try something new! ;)
The freshest food i had in Port A. Everyone in our Party loved their food. Service and Staff are outstanding. Atmosphere is very comfortable. The food is top notch. The price was a little more (not by much) but after enjoying the time we had here we would definitely come back. A must if you are in Port A.
Went to eat with my family and the chef Daniel and bartender Brandon really went out of their way to suggest and offer the best of the best. Our server was nice fast and on top of everything. The hospitality alone was worth the 5 stars. I went in a guest and left a friend.
10/10 would eat here again. Good tap beer selection. Their chips are seasoned really well. Addictive even. Finally, they'll grill your catch. That's a pretty sweet deal if you come in from fishing and want you meal cooked. Enjoy.
Daniel was so awesome, my bf doesn't eat seafood but wanted gumbo and he made him some special ckn gumbo! My grilled ckn with Swiss was so juicy and delicious.
Great food! Great drinks. Laid back, relaxed atmosphere. Waiting for your spring 2017 opening.
