We were passing through Port Angeles on an early rainy, grey and gloomy Tuesday morning and spotted this diner on a road side.. and we ended up having the purest American diner experience there at Traylor’s You can tell this was a local hub.. filled with warmth and style.. the food was humble yet what you wanted from a diner.. what made the space so special was the waitress.. We can’t remember her name but she had an amazing shade of yellow eyeshadow. She was ON TOP OF IT. Best waitress we have ever seen. She topped up our coffee as soon as it was half empty, and her ear was constantly looking for clues of what we needed- and quickly delivering. She navigates smoothly between all tables with a quip or kind word everywhere she passed. A true work of art. Even four days after we are still reminiscing that experience.. as a hospitality worker myself I deeply appreciated it.

Great experience overall! The service was perfect, the drinks (strawberry lemonade) was very refreshing, the food was very delicious. I'm glad that I went here and get to enjoy a local restaurant that truly delivered

Very good food. Took me back to the 60s with the decor. Will be back.

We stopped here a few weeks ago on our way back from Lake Crescent. It is an older steak house/diner. The decor was a bit dated, with fantastic tall backed swivel stools at the counter, but very clean. It was a Monday night, and not very busy. My husband and I each had the top sirloin steak, and he had a crab cake with it, and I had the classic loaded baked potato. The steaks were cooked just the way we ordered, and moist. Both came with a classic diner small salad, made with iceberg lettuce with croutons, but with shrimp as well. My husband enjoyed the crab cake. The service was quick and efficient, and I bet this is a good restaurant to have breakfast at as well. They also have a variety of cocktails and beer.

My family and I came in after a day hike in the mountains. We we tired and hungry, we were seated right away. The service was excellent very kind staff. I had the New York steak and it was very delicious and properly temped. Definitely will be going back when we come out to this area again.

Friendly place. I got the Chili Cheese Burger. It was the best I'd had anywhere since I was a very young woman. The beef was top quality, the cheese was real cheddar and not lower quality cheap cheese. The fries were hot, crispy and excellent! They should teach others to make fries. If I weren't just up here on vacation, I'd eat here all the time!

This is a fantastic old school feeling restaurant. It sort of has a warm 70's vibe in all the best ways. The staff is friendly with prompt and curtious service and the food is very good. Lots of good flavor and generous portions. Great prices too. We wish we had this in California.

Very nice and quiet place. No music. No crowd. Spacious. Very cold though. We liked the food, all fresh ingredients, huge meals, tasty. Very friendly waitress. She helped us to make choice and was very patient with our family. Highly recommend.

We are from Kansas City, and were visiting the area on a family vacation. We became "regulars" at Traylor's, eating dinner there, twice, on our trip. The service was very good, and we really enjoyed all our food! We had the fish and chips, and they were SO tasty - tender, moist fish and wonderfully crunchy coating. My brother, who lives on the east coast and eats lots of clam chowder, said this was the best he's ever had. We also had a bacon cheeseburger and grilled pork chops. Both were delicious. Spaghetti was good. The chicken teriyaki was delicious. My only recommendation would be to have tomatoes and onions in the salad and not serve chilled apple pie. We really had an enjoyable time on both visits, and the large hanging flower baskets outside were very nice.
