Sabai Thai is a great Thai restaurant in Port Angeles. The waiting time is quite high so I highly recommend booking a reservation in advance. The place is cozy and offers great food and service. Massamun curry and basil fried rice are an absolute delight for vegetarians. High chairs are available for kids. As per the serving, rice is served separately with curries. The overall ambiance and service is good.
After a day of hiking I came to Port Angeles both hungry and tired. Thai food is my favorite and eating at this place literally changed my entire mood for the afternoon. I ordered pineapple curry and would have licked the bowl clean if other people were not around. This place deserves every award it's been given. If you're looking for good Thai this is it
If you're in mood for something different or simply love Thai, this is the place to go. Started with chicken satay and it was probably two whole chicken breasts; chicken phad thai was excellent; the phuket with mixed clams and mussels was to die for, all very fresh and flavorful; khao soi special was enough for two and also very good. Ended with an amazing blueberry and black rice pudding. All was excellent and not overpriced. We were seated at bar bc place is small and very busy. Took a few minutes to get served. They mentioned reservations are highly suggested, walk-in wait was an hour. Saw a lot of to go orders waiting to be picked up, consider that option as well.
Thai cuisine is my favorite! I live in Seattle and naturally there are quite a few excellent options there, but I have counted Sabai Thai in the top 3 in Washington state for years. The origin story is both inspiring and heartbreaking. This is real food provided by real people and its DELICIOUS. Thier curries are off the hook. Some of my favorite dishes are Five Spice Thai beef salad, crab fried rice, panag curry, garlic lover broccoli with prawns, their seasonal specials, any of the seafood dishes, etc. I also like the fact that while it's not large, the wine list is well rounded with local wines.
Would highly recommend the crispy duck, clams and the crab fried rice. The Tom yum, noodles and curry were very flavourful but too salty for my liking. The service was genuine and prompt!
Excellent, best Thai food I have had and I have had alot. I had the Perfect Storm, amazing, full of huge scallops, calamari, mussels, clams, shrimp, and veggies. I had plenty for two meals. Note that you may need to wait during dinner rush hour because it is that good!
I really like this restaurant. We waited 45min to get served and it was definitely worth the wait. The quality of the food is top notch. The ambiance is awesome. We got to meet the owner and she was really nice. You can tell they really care because every little detail is thought out. Definitely check this place out.
We spent the day visiting Olympic National Park so we wanted to finish our day with some warm food at Sabai Thai. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, the Spicy Eggplant and a special Curry Noodle. Everything was so delicious. The Tom Yum Soup was definitely my favourite. All the staff members were really friendly and attentive even though they were super busy on that Friday evening. Very happy to have discovered this gem on our trip!
As always all the food is absolutely delicious. We love to sit and eat here. Owners always on the ground with the staff making sure everyone is happy, and all the dishes are on point. So happy to have such a great restaurant so close to home. So many Vegetarian options, they also have gluten free options as well.
Such a nice place - very good traditional Thai Ambience! If you're vegetarian, we'll still find lots of greats options in the restaurant. Food was really tasty & portion size was good as well. We ordered Ginger tea, Veggie Spring Roll, Emperor’s Cashew, Pineapple Fried Rice. All tasted delicious. Place was crowded - we had a waiting time of 15 mins - but trust me it's worth the wait :)
