What a wonderful time we had at River Runner's Roost!!!! The food, service, and atmosphere was awesome. A few friends and i rode our motorcycles up to Barryville. At first went to the Carriage House for lunch. The service at the Carriage House was the worst I even seen. They didn't even come over to see he we wanted to order drinks or look at a menu. After 10-15 minutes of sitting at a dirty table waiting for someone to come over we decided to leave the Carriage House. We rode pass the River Runner's Roost and made a quick u turn and it was the best thing we did. River runner's Roost is our new lunch spot whenever we ride to Barryville. Thanks to the River Runner's staff for making us feel like family. The ribs were out of this world!!!!!!!!
Amazing food! Great ambience! The apple cider was real good, Cajun shrimp scampi was the best I've ever had. Had us almost licking the plate clean. The soup of the day was a clan chowder, Maryland style. Again amazing. We then had the pastrami sandwich on rye, Texas BBQ beef brisket sandwich and the BBQ pulled pork with West Carolina BBQ sauce. Everything was extremely juicy and wonderfully flavored. The owners are so friendly and make it a better experience. I hope to come again.
Nice Atmosphere, great service, and good food! I had perfectly cooked blackened chicken breasts. It comes with two sides, I had a baked potato and Mac and cheese. They were also done right. I love the fact that the potato is served plain and I can add my own sour cream and butter of I wish since I am trying to be healthy. (I did use both 😋 but it was only a small amount of each and I could easily enter it into my door tracking app) I also had dessert! They usually have peach cobbler, but this time it was Peach- Blueberry cobbler! (Since it's Blueberry season!) And it was fantastic. I can't wait to go back!
1st time customers. The ambiance of the building was beautiful, the availability of eating outside would have been awesome! If it had been a sunny day. The food was delicious, there were 4 of us with 4 different entrees at which we shared to get a varied taste and the prices were very reasonable. The only downside was the server who was very unpersonable since it seemed like we were not regulars.
Delicious food that hits the spot after a long day kayaking on the river. Opt for the corned beef or bbq sandwiches.
I stick with the barbecue pulled chicken sandwich which was under $10. It came with a side and portion was definitely sufficient to fill me up just right.
The hostess and patrons are generally pleasant, which made for an enjoyable dinner.

Great place for bbq and there special Italian food night which is one night of the week. Typically on a wed or thur night but call to confirm. I love the outdoor seating and the quiet atmosphere!
The food was very good, but the portions were huge! I recommend getting one meal for two people and just share. There is a $2 fee to do that but it's definitely the right thing to do :-)
EXCELLENT... EVERYTHING!!!!!ooops ..he was hungry, couldn't wait for me to take picture...but thats how good it is!!!
