Sonic Drive-in

Stopped in for lunch and waited almost 30 minutes for our food. It finally came out and they tried to give our order to the car next to us. The lady in the car has the bag in her lap looks inside and says “I don’t think this is ours because we didn’t order any kids meals.” Dude apologizes and takes it back, turns around like nothing happened and hands it to us. The burgers are so barely warm the cheese isn’t even melted. The kids meals were hot so they started eating but my wife just couldn’t eat a lukewarm burger. We finally got the attention of the guy running orders and asked if he could remake her burger since it was cold. Sure, no problem. A few minutes later someone else comes out with a burger, apologized for the first one and went back inside. This burger was almost as bad as the first one. The bun was hard like it had been microwaved a couple times but it was still barely lukewarm inside. It would have been hotter if they would have held it in their armpit when they brought it back. Two bites in, my wife can’t bring herself to eat it. Whatever. Not doing this a third time so we left. And now, with the gift that keeps on giving - my wife has food poisoning. Golden ticket free meal deal or not, we won’t be going back. Maybe they should set the place on fire like the one in Idaho Falls did.

We went here after getting cold food at the McDonald’s down the street. Waited about 20 minutes for food. The corn dogs were hot but my cheeseburger was not even warm. We asked for it to be remade, and the second burger came back *maybe* one degree warmer…. The cheese not even melted, and it never did melt. At that point I had given up. I’d had 2 bites from both burgers and called it quits. Not worth it. Now I’m laying in bed with food poisoning.

We really enjoy Sonic food, but the wait times here are terrible. Last time we went, we waited in a stall after pushing the order button for 15 minutes with no response. We thought we'd try the drive through instead, but waited another 20 minutes without ever moving forward. When the car behind us got fed up and left, we backed up and left, too. I wish this was an isolated event, but it happens often. We'll think twice before going to this Sonic ever again.

Usually people here are great, i occasionally get the rude employee. I've gotten my incorrect order a few times as well. I just left the drivethru and we ordered lemonade with strawberry. I saw there was no strawberry and told the employee she said " it's at the bottom" i just checked, there is zero strawberry.

Tried to get a slush today... Sat in line outside the drive up lane for 15 minutes and only advanced 2 positions... I understand they are short staffed, but I am a worker and have a job to get to.... A job that needs me to perform. I don't go to a drive thru anticipating a 45+ minute wait... So if like me, you need a drive thru to be a relativity quick option.... Scratch sonic off your list
