I need to give this place another chance. I am very conflicted but thought it wasn't quite bad enough to deserve a bad rating.
Pros
1. Friendly staff that made their mistake right in my opinion
2. Neat bread station
3. Decor is very nice and rustic in an old farmhouse
4. Desert was good
5. Many options to choose from on the menu
6. Strong flavorful drinks
Cons
1. Menus were dirty. Drink menu had spaghetti sauce all over it and the main menu grease
2. Ordered scampi with linguine same as my fiance. Hers came with linguine but mine came with spaghetti which made the dish soupy. They ended up remaking it and giving me a free desert but it impacted us being able to eat together.
3. Scampi lacked a little flavor

I ordered the chicken Milanese with some mashed potatoes it was sooo yummyy. I was skeptical of the mint marinated strawberries but they blended really well with the arugula. It’s a must try!!!! The fried calamari was good too no doubt it’s the house favorite!

Good food in a gorgeous setting. This was my first time here and in winter this place is magic. The barn out back is beyond picturesque when lit with holiday lights and adorned in wreaths. The food was good too. Everyone liked their dishes. The lobster garlic knots were the star of the show, in my eyes.

Mary our server was very accommodating and nice. The restaurant is cozy and they had a gluten free vegan meal vegetarian primavera, a gluten free vegan build your own pizza, and a gluten dairy free gelato. Excellent place

Had a wonderful experience. My wife and I have never been here, and we plan on coming back. Can't go wrong with Common Man restaurants. Waitress was super nice, and she was very helpful with the menu. I've read a lot of reviews about how business is being conducted, but honestly, not every restaurant can be 100% excellent. But from experience, Common Man has always made me feel welcome, and prices are never out rages.

This is the Most Romantic Beautiful Restaurant ever. You will love it. Had the Lasagna and the Chicken Alfredo. Omg it's to die for. And the fresh bread station is always my favorite

Me and my Fiancé just got engaged earlier in the day, and we decided to come here hearing good things online. The food is absolutely amazing and I love the calamari and the muscles that we started with! The sauce was to die for !
I got the penne Rosa, which was very very good and my fiancé got the steak tips. I left wishing I had a bigger stomach so I could fit more !!!!
Definitely worth stopping here, and is now one of my favorite places I have been !
Our server, Bri C, was also amazing! Super kind and wonderful!

Great Italian in north central New Hampshire! We showed up on a Wednesday and the place was packed! Hostess was handling a take out order from a fussy customer on the phone. She was super patient. Another server saw us waiting and pitched in to help the hostess. We were told there was a 40 minute wait but if we agreed to a high top at the bar, we could be seated immediately. Naturally, we took that option.
Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server and ordered. The drinks were quick and the lobster garlic knots were a great appetizer. Fluffy and with a tangy hollandaise. Our main courses took a while. Probably a good 30 minutes from the appetizer. I suspect the kitchen was backed up. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the linguine with clam sauce. When the food arrived, it was piping hot. So not the servers being slow! Everything was delicious. The spaghetti needed more sauce, which the restaurant happily provided. Despite the long wait for food, the experience was top notch. We will be back - hopefully on a slightly less crowded night.

My first experience a few years ago was not great. But I came back to give it another shot.
It has since become one of my FAVORITE restaurants in the area!
I travel alone for work and often eat at the bar - where I have had the pleasure of meeting Matt the bartender (and more recently Shelby!). I’ve been told Penny is great too!
Even though I only visit about once a month, Matt knows what I like to drink and he makes the best suggestions on what to have for dinner. He has nailed it every time! Along with the unique and fabulous specials, I already have many favorite dishes, like the incredible lasagna, “made from scratch” pappardelle bolognese, and the crisp and fresh Caesar salad (with optional anchovies - I always opt in!)
Even though I don’t live in the area, coming here makes me comfortable and happy - thanks to the quality of the food and the wonderful service I receive from folks like Matt and Shelby.
I LOVE this place and I will keep coming back.
You should too!

Had some takeout from here whilst on vacation and it was very good. Friendly service, good takeout containers and the food was generous and very good.

We always stop in the Italian Farmhouse during an annual family vacation, and it's always good, but it was particularly awesome this time around. Sam was our server, and I have a dairy allergy, which makes it hard to eat at a lot of places, especially Italian places, but that wasn't the case here. Sam, and all the staff that helped while we were there, made sure every aspect of my meal was dairy free, including bread and apps and main meal. The service was phenomenal, the food was excellent, and it's always delightful to have a dining out experience that doesn't yield an allergic reaction. We're obviously going to return, and I would recommend the Italian Farmhouse as well as any Common Man restaurant- I've experienced this attention to detail and quality service at all the ones we've been to.

Delicious pasta in a rustic setting. We had very friendly and attentive service. There is also self-serve bread station. The bread was baked fresh and was really great. There were an assortment of oils and balsamic vinegar to dip the bread in. When the entrees arrived we were treated to freshly grated parmesan. Both the shrimp scampi and chicken piccata were amazing!

We have been driving by the"Italian Farmhouse" for years and never dropped in till last weekend. A total pleasure and surprise! I had the clams on linguini, and my husband had the Wild Mushroom Risotto. We loved the food , my Gimlet, and the decor and atmosphere. Will go often now that we know.

The food was excellent, I had the eggplant Parm and it was the best I've had in New Hampshire. It was fresh and the pasta was cooked perfectly. On top of the great food our wait person, Lindy made everything great with the perfect attentiveness. I can't eat to go back.

You may want to call ahead for a table, we got there a little after they opened and had to wait 10-15 minutes. Pesto chicken pizza was amazing as was the peanut butter pie. Service and atmosphere was wonderful.

The setting is a lovely cozy rustic farmhouse decorated with a touch of Italian decor. We had the chicken picatta and bianco pizza. We also had the strawberry bruschetta for appetizer and chocolate mouse and pumpkin creme brulee. We had several drinks that were very good. Everything was fantastic. Our favorite was the super flavorful chicken picatta with pappadelle pasta that had flavors bursting in the sauce. The pumpkin creme brulee was just enough hint of pumpkin in a very creamy brulee. The strawberry bruchetta had several flavors that was very satisfying without filling you up before the main dish. Portion sizes are very generous and the prices are fair if not low. The staff are polite and attentive. Highly recommend this place for any occasion. This place was a treat for us Arizona dwellers!

I have been here about 4 times and I always get the meat lasagna, and I have absolutely loved it. But for some reason last night, I didn't like my lasagna at all. It was dry , with very little mozzerella and sauce. The ground meat was all served on the top, as though they forgot to layer it between the noodles. I don't know, maybe it was a bad night for who ever made it. I WAS very dissapointed, but like everyone, sometimes we just have a bad day. So I will not let it deter me from ordering their lasagna ever again. But maybe next time I will try something different. The service is remarkable. I highly recomend this place.

Love, love love the Italian Farmhouse !! I love the ambiance in the barn & I never even open my menu, I always have the Chioppino, it never disappoints! Wine down Wed. is also a great night to go, if you like wine, all bottled wines are half price too! Their coupons books (you can get Xmas time) but get them early as they run out fast, they are great too they have a coupon for every mo. of the yr in it! All that bring said, I give the Italian Farmhouse 5 stars

We were expecting a 30 minute wait, but it ended up being only 15 minutes. We each had a great dinner plate. The dessert (Peanut Butter Pie) was delicious. The staff and service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was great. Another job well done by The Common Man.

This is the best Alfredo I've had since leaving South Florida 12 years ago. The bread bar was great, cocktails were perfect and we all enjoyed our meal. Our waitress was fantastic. We'll be back for sure.

We have been going there for several years, based on someone's recommendation. Have been in years since buying a house. Sat outside for the first time. Weather was awesome, and food was awesome.
Marie Kirk
The food was delicious. I had a meatball for appetizer & it was sooo good. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes & spinach & again very yummy. I could finish it & enjoyed it the next day! The dining room WAS very tight..but the staff was very warm & attentive. I would definitely go again! I love all of the Common Man places

Great service and atmosphere. Food was outstanding. I am Celiac and the gluten free options they have are excellent. We are from out of town, but when we come up this way again, we will go out of our way to eat here again. Fantastic.

Love love love the chicken piccata! The best ever! Atmosphere, wait staff, hostess all terrific. But watching the bartender do his thing was a show in itself! Never missed a beat and handled all orders by himself with pure grace! Love the Italian Farmhouse!
