I really loved the food! I went with a large group and most of us were satisfied. They used imitation crab in one of their dishes. The seating we had was at a table facing the water, unfortunately the windows were very dirty with bugs in it. It kind of took away from the view. It was still a nice dining experience and the staff was nice from what I remember.

Nice local place. The drink were good. But the appetizers were just ok. At least to me.

Went here for a friends birthday last summer, and had a great time. Awesome atmosphere, food, and service. Couldn't ask for more.

Always good food and a great view of Lake Champlain. The food is a bit expensive but it's high quality. Be aware that if you order crab cakes it only has 1 crab cake. I asked the waitress about this and she said "oh I forgot to tell you you only get 1 with that order." That is why I took a star away.

First, any review that is more than 60 days old is not for present location of Dana's. Comments more than 60 days old are about wait staff and condition of the restaurant at a different location. Long story, short - stick to the burgers and fries - comfort food and enjoy the view - which is very nice. Seafood is not prepared well and over priced.

We came in late, 9:10pm, and were told the kitchen was closed. We went back out to our car when the hostess came out to say the kitchen hadn't shut anything down yet and we were welcome to order. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was fantastic. It was dark, but would definitely come back to catch the view.

Top marks for location. Unbeatable.. The lake views are to die for. If at all u gotta go here.. It has to be for the views.. Food could be better. But I was not complaining at all. Go, eat, drink, relax and enjoy the view.. Thats all I can say. One recommendation to the owners of the restaurant.. They need to market the place for its location. There was no description to suggest that they have this fantastic location for customers to enjoy

We went here for a co-worker's birthday dinner. The place was empty when we arrived, drinks were slow, service was slow. One person ordered a dirty martini, waitress left without asking gin/vodka. When she finally returned it was to ask gin/vodka and then it was still 10 minutes before that arrived. Appetizers came about 1.5 hours later, they were sub-par, overly laden with sauce. Water wasn't refilled until asked. When the salads arrived much later, to the point where we forgot about the salads and thought it was actually even too late for the food to arrive, the salads were small. The cucumbers were wrinkled and tomatoes unripe. Dinner was significantly later than that and the stuffed sole was salty and dry, crab cakes were hockey pucks and very small, steaks over done, scallops rubbery and we had to ask for water refills again and rolls. When the bill arrived without asking if we would like the check split we simply divided it evenly and handed over our cards and 25 minutes later we were informed that the machine was broken and there was no atm and a manager would arrive at some point to see if the problem could be fixed. No compensations, no apology. The icing on the cake was that we had to clear our own plates from appetizers. No apologies were forthcoming, one waitress and one bartender were on yet there were no explanations or even an acknowledgement of the delay. This may have been the worst dinner I have ever had. At this point commenting on the restaurant's decor may seem harsh and catty, yet it needs to be mentioned. The view is stunning to look out the window. You could sit at a hot dog shack and in fact can do that and have the same view and better food and service. It is situated right on the lake adjacent to a marina. Wall paper is peeling, it smells like mildew, the lights weren't turned on until it was actually too dark to see, there was no music in the background, it was hot, we opened the windows without asking since there was pretty much no service. Please do not go here. Please also realize that this same owner oversees Cafe Mooney Bay as well as Dana's Downtown. I expect to never return as well as to never frequent these other establishments.
