The best cakes ever for such a good price! We ordered our wedding cake from Bolo, working with Cristina was great and the cake was beautiful and tasty! We got told by many of our guests that it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had, we even had enough cake to serve it again for our second day wedding party! We also just ordered a graduation cake for my brother, it exceeded our expectations in terms of decorating and it was delicious!

Bolo bakery went above and beyond for my daughters jojo cake! The customer service was the best I have had in a while. They are extremely attentive and they treat you like a person not just a customer! Not to mention the cake was out of this world delicious!!!! I would give more than 5 starts if google let me! You won’t be disappointed

I love Bolo bakery in Plainville! Growing up I remember going to the Portuguese bakery with my grandparents in Hartford. It was always a good day. Now as an adult I still find myself going to a Portuguese bakery and enjoying the visit. I have been there twice so far since Easter and I'm looking forward to going back.

I ordered a cake for my mom's birthday. Christina did an amazing job from start to finish. When messaging her, I thought she was going to kill me when I changed the idea for the cake but she was very sweet and responsive and exceeded my vision. The cake was a big hit at the party and not only was it gorgeous it was delicious too.

First time ordering a custom cake from here based off the reviews. The woman who communicated with me via email was friendly and accommodating. I sent a picture of what I was hoping for. Upon pick up, the cake looked very close to what I asked, the colors were quite bright compared to the more pastel elegant colors I requested. They also added glitter to my cake which isn’t what I asked for. I’m an adult and it was quite childish. But it was pretty all the same. I ordered a vanilla cake with lemon filling and buttercream frosting. The cake was very soft and decadent. However, I think they accidentally added lemon in the cake as well and it should’ve been a vanilla cake. The lemon filling was just a lemon flavored whipped cream. The part of the cake I wasn’t fond of was the buttercream icing. It wasn’t that thick sweet creamy buttercream icing as you would expect. It was way overpowered by butter, hardly sweet, and left a dull bitter taste in your mouth. Part of that bitter taste might have been a contribution to the amount of food coloring they had to use to make those darker colors (again not what I asked for) … but the icing was a complete let down. I’m that person who will eat spoonfuls of icing. I want the sweet creamy thick delicious buttercream. This icing was not it. I only ate the filling. So with the vanilla cake being lemon, the colors being dark & glitter, and the complete icing let fail.. unfortunately I would not order here again. It’s too bad too, the cake was moist and airy. Just too many critical errors & this cake although just a cake was a very personal thing for me. I stressed that in the email.

Best cake I've ever had for my wedding. The ombre coloring from white, lavender and then dark purple was perfect. The filling was thick but light and not super sweet. It was perfect and the interior of the cake was light and fluffy with the oreo filling light and tasty as well. All for $125 to feed about 25+ with left overs. It was perfect I am so pleased and satisfied with this cake 🎂 😍 ❤. I love Bolo!
