Scallop dinner was very tasty. Always enjoyed the comfortable surroundings and friendly staff. It was New Years Day & tired staff held up well.

Great place to eat. We have not been to Henry’s for about 2 years since Covid hit. The menu has changed, no more Rack of lamb and no more escargot. We came up here for those two items but found it not on the menu. This is the reason for a 4 star rating.

Henry’s re-opened, and are we glad.
We dined recently and had a phenomenal meal. Henry’s is one of only Two restaurants in all of ElDorado County that we would consider for a special night out; and it was.
Service was amongst the best we have received at any establishment- Including our trips overseas. All of the staff were great, and a special kudos to Naomi and Katie who were over the top. So memorable.
The food is still excellent. Calamari appetizer was delicious. We both selected the filet florentine for our entree. They were both cooked perfectly (One medium-rare and One medium-well). The filets were juicy, tender and lean. Our only suggestion on the food is a little more seasoning on the protein and mashed potatoes (and watch the consistency) to bring out a depth of flavors. But don’t get us wrong! We’re nitpicking on an excellent meal! We’re going back next month for our birthdays.
One of us had the Crème brûlée which was described was the best we’ve ever had. The chocolate dessert I had was very good.
Great selection of wine, and they were very helpful in helping us pick out the perfect wine for our meal.
The only negative is you must walk thru the casino, with all the cigarette smoke, to dine at Henry’s.

Update: go here for the French onion soup! I had two bowls last night.
Ask for Gabrielle for you server!!
We enjoyed our dinner at Henry’s! I had the braised beef short ribs…excellent! My dining partner had the fillet with mashed potatoes and gravy… that too was excellent with no gristle or fat on the meat at all!
The French onion soup is on point and to die for! They really know how to make it. Next time I eat there I might have two bowls.
The restaurant is located downstairs across from where the buffet used to be. Great ambience. Excellent service from our server. We certainly will return.

We have been going to Henry’s since it originally opened. Every special occasion has always been great. Well, we went there for our anniversary on Friday night. It was not the same. My cosmo was filled leaving at least an inch from the top of the glass.. I mentioned to our server, oh, I got a half of drink. She claimed they were larger than usual glasses. Not true. Shortly afterwards, a full drink went by us. Our steaks were not done to perfection as usual. After we were served our dinner, our server never checked on us until the bill came. We waited for some water, even put the glass on end of table. Finally stopped another server, to please get us water. No mention of our anniversary. When we got our bill, our server even apologized for the chaos. Usually the person seating us says, happy anniversary. Very disappointed.

Are here with a hero of 9 people. Everyone loved their food.
I had the filet mignon and it was Fantastic. I ordered my filet medium and a guest had their filet well done and both were tender and delicious.
Another guest had the salmon and it was delicious as well. The appetizers were tasty and the sourdough bread was very San Franciscan.

Dinner was excellent!! My only disappointment was that they no longer serve lasagna...it was one of my favorite meals ever...they had a great lasagna!!
I believe our server was Pauline or Paulette...she was delightful and very accommodating!!
We were treated great and the meals were all delicious!!
We have gone for special occasions before and would go back again in a minute...special occasion or not!!

Went with a group of youth, party of 14 total. Service was very good to excellent. Steaks were undercooked -- which they corrected, but inconvenient -- in several cases, and the overall food presentation and quality was very solid, just not deserving of five stars in my opinion. The most elegant presentation was in the sides. The kids didn't like the garlic butter treatment on the steak items they ordered, but read the menu, right? Overall, very solid, a little pricey, but a nice dining out. No experience at this meal with the restaurant bar. One very nice thing: zero cigarette smoke or odor from the casino. B+/A-
