Such a nice place. There's a separate room with a cozy fireplace! Food is most excellent and the staff is really friendly. Pull up a chair and enjoy the people-watching through all the glass; looking out onto the Pittsford Plaza sidewalk, watching the world rushing hither and yon while sipping something hot and sumptuous.
Love this place, the salads we ordered were so fresh & tasty - definitely worth the price. The menu has a lot of variety as well. The restaurant was clean & the staff was friendly, will definitely go back!!!
Out for appointments and needed lunch. Needed to stop at Trader Joe's and this place is basically next door.
A little spendy, but the berry smoothies ($8.5) and Cuban sandwich ($13) were good. I'm surprised the sandwich wasn't pressed at all... KIND OF IMPORTANT with a Cuban sandwich.
Definitely a better option vs Panera or other big national chains.
Great lunch and dinner with brunch on weekends. They have good smoothies too. my go-to is the quesasilla but I've had most of the menu and it's all good. Just pay attention if you order the eggs Benedict, they're a little runnier than I'd like so you may want to order them a little more well done. Solid place to grab quick and easy food that tastes homemade. (great post-workout - you can add protein to thr smoothies!)
We arrived around noon and did not have to wait in line at all. The food arrived hot and it did not take very long to have it arrive. I opted for water and there was fruit infused water available at no cost. I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of my visit.
I love this place the food is awesome. It's healthy but not grossly healthy but you can get so much here and you can get beer and wine as well it's really a fun good place to eat definitely recommend
Went to Root 31 for the first time yesterday and it was great! I had the Vermont Turkey Wrap and really enjoyed it.
They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a brunch offered on weekends.
Great selection of choices without being overwhelming. Everything from soups and salads to sandwiches, burgers, and pizza! There are also vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available.
And don’t forget to check out the coffee selection.
One of my favorite things is to be able to enjoy a meal outside and they have a beautiful patio with plenty of seating for when the Rochester weather is being cooperative.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Root 31 is my go-to lunch location. The staff are always very friendly, service is quick, and the food is delicious.
I joined a friend for an early evening supper and we weren't disappointed by the experience. The food was great. I tried the Compost Plate, which was fabulous. The grilled vegetables and Quinoa were a pleasant surprise and made this salad meal especially delicious. We each used our Loyalty Membership $5.00 off coupons on our orders, which made the occasion even happier!
