If you want authentic NYC food in PIttsburgh go to NY super subs I just got the chicken salad it’s made in house the food is off the charts as a PIttsburgh PA native you tourist come here check out the menu it’s worth it they hit this one off the charts

Exceptionally clean kitchen (you can see it from out front) and friendly staff! We were in the area on a roadtrip, and stopped in for lunch to eat in the park - and we were glad we did. Made fresh, not too salty (I find a lot of sandwiches too salty) and good reccos from the staff.
It's a small shop, but it's not a sit down spot (although they have some tables and chairs). I would recommend and come back if I could.
We had a Reuben, Cheese Steak and Cannolis. Each were excellent!

Huge turkey sandwich guy. Ppl probably gonna think iam crazy but I've heard worse before lol but iam a big fan of the turkey sub from the triangle bar, and now i think new york subs are actually better. I know iam crazy lol . But thats my opinion. So far best turkey sub in the city that ive had so far. Delicious bread, tasty onions, tender and flavorful turkey, just love their turkey.

The bread is fantastic. Also. I was eating inside and a customer came in to order with a specific amount of money. It seems like he was a little bit short. They made him his sandwich anyway without any fanfare. Will be back again.

The full sized sandwiches are huge and definitely enough to feed multiple people. We got one sandwich and a salad and it was more than enough for 4 of us

If you love a good sub, meatballs or sandwiches, give this business a chance, I am a repeating customer and will be until I leave Pittsburgh. Staff is incredibly friendly, social, professional, and so so efficient. Food is excellent, and I have had nothing but a positive experience with New York Super Subs in Squirrel Hill over the few years that I've been ordering from them. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome, a quality that is often overlooked nowadays!

This is the real deal. New York style sandwiches with friendly service. Not a lot of room to dine in but food quality makes up for it. The Rueben sandwich was outstanding, served with freshly made thousand island dressing on the side.
