Very cool! Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Decor is perfect for the vibe there. Absolutely immaculate open kitchen. I rarely post about a restroom but the restroom was immaculate as well! Menu is everything you want it to be. We just ordered an appetizer. We got the greens and beans with Romaine and Northern beans. Comes with bread and dipping oil! OMG! Fabulous!

You can find delicious Greek-style pizza with a medium-thin, crunchy bread crust at this place. Additionally, you can indulge in their gelato, which is a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth the taste! I plan to return and try their pasta next time.
The entire establishment is clean and aesthetically pleasing, including the well-maintained bathrooms.

The food is truly incredible!!!! Pizza, past, bread, and salad were all so delicious. They offer so many wonderful authentic Italian items. Our server Dominic was the best! He was so kind and helpful. Highly recommend

Visited Papa J's for the first time over the weekend with some friends. We were blown away with Michael's service - best dining experience we've ever had! He made sure that our visit was memorable. Great atmosphere, we did not feel rushed between drinks/appetizers/entrées. Food was amazing - the Divine sauce in particular. Also, the burrata appetizer and espresso martini! We will definitely be back!

Excellent pizza in the town. We tried four flavors, sweet sausage and onion, spinach and feta, BBQ chicken, and mushroom, all of them are delicious!
The crust is thin, crispy, yet chewy and lightly fluffy. Every bite is a joyful experience. Pizza are packed with flavors.
The guy working behind the counter is very friendly. We watch him make pizza while eating, he clearly has passion and skills in pizza. No wonder all of their pizza taste so good.
Will be back for other flavors.

We reserved a spot for a party of 21.
The owner, Michael reached out to us and was extremely accommodating to our party and worked with us to create a dining menu that fit our party well. We could not have been more pleased!
We had a red sauce pasta, a white sauce pasta, garden salad, and 14 different kinds of Roman pizza! Everything was absolutely delicious!
We also added on some of their fresh made gelato!
Michael’s family has been in Pittsburgh for a hundred years and he is running an absolutely phenomenal restaurant!
Everything is fresh, made in house, and made with care. The service, food, and establishment was all incredible!
Side note, we also had a gluten free member of our party and they were super accommodating.
I cannot recommend this place enough!

The guy who served us gelato (on the side with the bar) was so friendly and funny, he totally made our day. The gelato itself was also great!! Totally reminiscent of Italy. And the focaccia was delicious. I would love to come back here to try more food and drink.

Delicious food for a really good price. The owner showed us the pizza dough before it is used and let me try almost every flavor of gelato. Very inviting staff and the place was awesome! No wait during prime dinner time! I would 1000% go here again if I lived in the area. The Buratta was to die for.

First time here and the food was amazing. I had veal piccata and one of my daughters has Alfredo pasta which was the best I ever tasted. So many types of pastas to choose from. Amazing pizza too. The staff were super friendly. Gabby, Michael, and Lea. A must stop if you are in The Burgh.

My wife and I were debating where to eat. We stepped in Papa J's and we're greeted by a fantastic host (not sure if his exact title). He showed us around the restaurant, told us about their fresh high quality ingredients, how the pasta was made, the bread, the sauce. He sold us and we decided to stay and eat and we're so glad we did. I had the chicken Parm and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had rigatoni with divine sauce (similar to vodka sauce) with sausage. Hers was delicious as well. We capped the night off with some amazing gelato. Highly recommend.

Papa J's Twin Plaza is a great addition to The Strip District. A much needed, full service, family friendly, traditional Italian restaurant. Suitable for casual or formal dining. Papa J's is an open, clean, bright space. Excellent service. Justin and Patrick were charming and professional.
We visited for dinner on a Saturday night at 8 and Papa J's was packed. Almost every table was full. The dining room and bar are seperate from each other. I caught a glimpse of the bar. It was modern and cozy.
I had a bowl of wedding soup. It was so flavorful. Full of veggies, chicken, & meatballs. I also had the Chicken Parmigiana. It was delicious! Tasted just like my Mom made it. The marinara was really good, the homemade pasta was cooked perfect. The chicken cutlets were crispy and flavorful. I can't wait to go back and give something else a try.

Went over the weekend. Food was delicious. Fantastic staff and service. We appreciated the reasonable bottle prices for wine. Excellent Gelato. The only small knock was the bread in the panzanella salad wasn't toasted. Great experience overall.
