One of the best dining experiences I have had in Pittsburgh. Jozsa Corner is a unique restaurant, perfect for a private dining event for our group of 11. The larger family style dining table can accommodate up to 15 people, but there is also an additional table to seat more. Alex, the owner is warm, friendly, and passionate about serving some of the best home cooked Hungarian food you could hope to find. All of us fully enjoyed the food and the experience. Scheduling was easy. I called, left a voicemail and Alex called me back. From there we texted and a week later I pushed open the front door (which happens to be the kitchen) and was surrounded by the amazing smell of the food on the stove and Alex telling me the story of starting the restaurant. I can't wait to take more people back. Thank you for remaining authentic!

The coolest restaurant that you’ve probably never heard of. Was invited to dine here with my cousin and some friends after “he heard about it from some guy” and it did not disappoint. Very intimate dinning so you’ll meet the other guests which is great for socializing! Every single dish you’ll have is better than the last and it is hands down the most authentic Hungarian food you’ll find in town. It’s truly like being invited into someone’s home for dinner. All around great experience, delicious food and fantastic company. Also very decently priced for the quality of good and level of service.

Jozsa Corner is quite an experience and you should try it out at least once. Alex is a very likeable guy, very friendly and accommodating (for a vegan friend). His food is amazing. I am a picky eater and was quite surprised. My favorite would have to be the cucumbers, peppers, and onions dish, drizzled in some kind of vinegar. The meal was great and the atmosphere is quirky. Expect to be here for a length of time and tonight it was very loud; however, we were packed into a small room with three tables of 12 people. And there were only a few empty seats. The meal was $32/pp (even for children) and it is cash only.

unique dining experience and excellent food. There are only two tables of 12 or less severed family style, so make reservations in advance. It is BYOB. Expect to spend at least 2 hours here. It is CASH only and about $35/person. If you're looking for some upscale sterile five star restaurant vibe, this is not the place for you. The atmosphere is more like what you'd expect to see at a family gathering in a grandparent's dining room cluttered with memorabilia and the food served on Styrofoam plates. Alex is a wonderful host and is known for sharing traditional folk songs along with the delicious Hungarian food.

This place is an absolute gem. We went here for a friend's birthday on Friday. We reserved ahead of time. Delicious 7 course meal, byob. Alex is such a great guy. He will tell you all about his history and the neighborhood. Super fun, can't wait to go back.

Food was very delicious and well spaced out between courses. You leave this place full without being bloated. How ever it is BYOB so if you forget drinks they are limited on drinks. Its a hole in the wall place do no expect being in a spacious room. Its as if you are at grandmas with the entire family. The place could be a tad cleaner, but thats another aspect not for me to critque.

What a fun experience for my family. 14 of us came for Hungarian food for my grandma's birthday and it was fabulous! We loved every bite!

Incredible authentic Hungarian cuisine prepared with care by a genuine class character. Alex welcomes you as family and treats you as such, both with his jovial demeanor, and with his delectable offerings. The decor is very simple with folding tables and plastic silverware, but that just makes the food shine even more. From the Langos, to the Transylvanian Gulyas, to the fruit filled palacinta he handed me as I walked out the door, I loved every morsel. Dinner is by appointment only so plan ahead. Could not recommend more.

Alex's Family-Style Hungarian cooking is absolutely delicious, and is different to what you'll find in most restaurants. I totally recommend this Pittsburgh gem!
