This place has it all. From great food given with generous portions, to incredibly hard working staff, I truly can’t say enough great stuff about this establishment honestly. A well runned, good moraled family business who’s place in Oakland stays, and will continue to remain iconic and well accepted.

Pretty good food for such a price. Recommend jalapeño beef. Since I come from Szechuan, it tastes different than genuine Szechuan food, but it does taste good.

I've seen quite a few negative reviews for this place, but I actually quite liked the food I got from here. Maybe it's because I only ordered one thing and many people consider it to be an appetizer, but nonetheless...I got their fried pork dumplings with their dumpling sauce. As I mentioned, I actually really enjoyed the,. They were very crispy and well fried when I received my order. One of the best dumpling shells/dough I have had in a while. The sauce had a nice balance of sweetness and savoriness and came in a good portion. The meat was also pretty good. Well seasoned, cooked well, and overall tasty. I really can't complain. And, the portion was also pretty solid for the price. In general, this place prices itself on providing large quantities of food for a cheap price. So if that's what you are looking for, definitely try it out. All in all, great dumplings, solid prices, and good portions. I like this spot!

This has been my go-to place for Chinese food for 20 years now. Delicious and you get a lot for your money. Especially good dumplings.

I usually get the hot spicy chicken with white rice. For those of you, fried rice is plain fried rice…. Unless u order other fried rice that come with veggies, eggs, protein etc. on the menu under “fried rice.”

So fast!!!! I understand why "Express" is part of the name. I have placed phone orders, and my order has been ready each time when I arrive. Today I walked in about 10 minutes after placing my order and it was still ready! Not my absolute favorite Chinese food, but it is affordable. I like the amount of meat in seafood dishes; some restaurants may only use a few shrimp in a dish, but Szechuan Express uses a decent amount. Would recommend the Kung Pao triple delight.

I LOVE this place. Not necessarily the best quality, but they have cheap, quick, tasty meals. I love their fried pork dumplings, lo mein, and beef & broccoli.

Fresh, big portion, delicious, quick and inexpensive Chinese food option in Pittsburgh. A nice place to visit for college students and people live nearby. General Tso’s Chicken is in fact quite delicious. Chicken are well fried and flavor is rich. The only snag is that if you visit their after your evening class (8:30 p.m.), you probably gonna wait for 15 minutes. Hope they can do lunch as well.

Online posted menus are much higher...30% higher for some items. These are the prices at the restaurant, I assume maybe for takeout not all those delivery apps. Accurate as of April 6, 2022. Plus 5% off if pay cash. This very unassuming restaurant, take out mostly, only small table was a pleasant surprise. Ordered HK beef rice noodles and general tso chicken. The noodles were spot on authentic and had the hot wok flavor. It is the best I have found in Pittsburgh. The huge portion was a bonus. The chicken was not as spicy as I like but still tasted very good. Again huge portion and good tender chicken. The fried rice was a little bland nothing a dash of salt and soy sauce couldn't fix. Super fast service. I ordered and was out of there in less than 5 minutes and there were 3 orders ahead of me. 5% off if you pay cash. If you expect fancy place, this is not for you. If you want tasty and inexpensive Chinese food, this is for you.

I loved Fried tofu with Mixed vegetables here! It was my favorite dish, had it for last 4 years, had the same great taste. I wish I didn’t have to move to other city !
