Hidden gem of a neighborhood, family-owned pharmacy. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful, and the lunch counter can't be beat. Friday fish sandwich (breaded, not battered) has long been a standby of mine, and it's hard to find its like anywhere else.
This local pharmacy was opened by the Adzema family several decades ago. In addition to having a pharmacy, it also has a retail store, which sells products for health, hygiene, and household, and a lunch counter, which serves breakfast foods, sandwiches, and salads.
My husband and I ate breakfast here. The waitress did not bring out our food for 42 minutes. Our pancakes, home fries, omelette, bacon, bagel, and toast tasted good. I thought that the mixed fruit could have had more variety and been fresher.
After our meal, I browsed the store’s merchandise, and I picked out a couple things. The cashier rang up our purchase, and he was very friendly.
I take a very expensive medication and when I switched insurances, Adzema could no longer afford to cover it. However, Jay told me he did not want to stiff me on the last month so he gave me the medicine even though the pharmacy lost money. It gave me time to find a new pharmacy before I was due again next month. Thank you Jay & Adzema. Would definitely recommend this pharmacy you don’t see that kind of generosity most places.
Went on Wednesday morning after reading the review in the North Hills News Journal. It was like stepping back in a kinder time and place. Food was delicious and my server was outstanding! I can't wait to go back again.

I will never go to a big chain retail pharmacy again if I can get something at Adzema, and frankly so far Adzema has always had what I needed when I needed it, even if it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of chain pharmacies. I had endless frustration with long waits and lack of stock at other chain pharmacies, so made the switch to Adzema and have never looked back. The pharmacists and staff are kind, knowledgeable, and actually pay attention to the needs of their customers. They are so much faster than the big name chains at filling any prescriptions for my family, and always have what I need in stock, even when other chain pharmacies have been short on certain medications (for example the recent shortage in a particular antibiotic I needed for my son’s ear infection—Adzema was the only place I could find it when I needed it). You truly will notice the difference in service here, and it’s clear to see why they have been open so long. Their prices are also extremely reasonable. They will also send you text messages (if you request them) like the big chains, but they don’t annoyingly spam/harass you with repeated text messages like the chains. I get one text when my Rx is ready, and no repeated nagging texts if I am a little slow picking something up like I experienced with other pharmacies—and it’s always shockingly fast unlike their chain competitors. Can’t say enough good things about Adzema!
Adzema’s has a lot of everything. They have a cafe, a pharmacy, and a little store. I like going there. My husband loves the food. Everyone there is really nice.
I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to in this case. My husband and I transferred pharmacies from one of the bigger retail pharmacies in the area, and I only wish we had done it sooner. This place is a throwback to simpler times—the staff could not be nicer or more efficient. In a world where we are continuously looped through endless phone menus, it is beyond refreshing to call and immediately speak with a staff member. Adzema pharmacy is wonderful!
Visiting Adzema Pharmacy is a nostalgic experience. Staff in both the lunch counter and pharmacy are pleasant, kind and helpful. Food is amazing with unique daily specials. Very welcoming store!

This place always has the cutest little things that I didn’t know I needed. I love the little finds. The breakfast/lunch counter is amazing. Great service and delicious and cheap food. I love the atmosphere and I love that it tastes homemade. Breakfast and lunch are delicious here and I recommend it to everyone.
