Just your typical Eat n' Park...and if that doesn't mean anything, just think IHOP/Chili's/Ruby Tuesday/etc. Big variety of food, including breakfast all day. There is a salad bar, which has a decent selection of items. This one in particular is a decent size, so you really shouldn't have a wait there. Parking is an issue, only because there isn't much available and it's all street parking.
It is a good place for kids, because there's a wide variety of items on the kids menu and the kids get a free cookie.
The usual mediocre fast food with ok service.
Hit or miss. Eat 'n Park has always been a hit-or-miss place for me. In my hometown we have one and so I have a lot of experience with the chain. When I'm not feeling too demanding (and don't want to spend the money for a TGI Friday's) I will head up to Squirrel Hill for old-time's sake.
I've tried many, if not most of their big entries, so I can be more detailed regarding their food than my other reviews.
Their best meals, for me, are their hot sandwiches, turkey and pot roast. At best, it's really good, thick-cut meat with hot gravy on top. However, sometimes the turkey will be very thin deli-style meat, as opposed to the "real" stuff, which can be off-putting. (This isn't a Squirrel Hill-specific foible, either.) I would also recommend their grilled chicken breasts, especially with chipotle BBQ sauce, a healthy and tasty meal. Their quesadillas are good but they seem to be a seasonal menu item.
Some other dishes: T-Bone steak isn't bad but rather pricey and they tend to have a lot of fat. The spaghetti is pretty cheap with sauce that tastes like thickened ketchup. Chicken fingers and fish fillets are pretty bland.
Side dishes are a mixed bag; the mashed potatoes aren't bad but you can have a lot better. I don't really like the fries. I love the chili but the chicken noodle soup is underwhelming. Vegetables definitely seem canned.
Their best stuff may well be the breakfast selection: I've never had eggs as good as Eat 'N Park's, and they provide a large, hearty portion. The breakfast buffet is a real treat if you get a chance.
The prices are always good, and they have a very homey, family-friendly atmosphere which is nice. Service is usually nice but not always fast. It's not a bad place to go every once in awhile, especially if you're watching your wallet.
There's a larger Eat-'N-Park at the Waterfront which is roughly the same in quality.
Friendly staff and Very clean!
I had the whaler fish sandwich with fries and cole slaw. Fish and fries were good. Cole slaw was dry ... No mayo or vinegar
There didn't seem to be much staff this night, so the wait was a bit long But once we were seated ,our server was very nice and helpful. The food was good, as it usually is at eat'n park.🙂
Eat'n Park is well known for its breakfast, and all you can eat buffet. A Pittsburgh Standard. Enjoy!
Fresh food at super low prices and they are open late. If you are looking for a great and easy place to go then definitely check this place out!
Great experience! Our waitress Dani was friendly, efficient, and helpful with the menu. The food was great! The super burger is my favorite, and it was delicious. The only thing I was disappointed is that when ordering, you only have the option of french fries or a milkshake. I would think a salad, cup of soup, or another side dish would be less expensive than a milkshake. It would be nice to have the different options. I also felt badly for the waitresses, because there weren't many customers. Make sure you tip your waiters and waitresses well! They deserve it!
Really enjoyed breakfast here! I love their grilled stickies and lemonade!
Yummy comfort food. Service is nearly always good, and the food is pretty consistent.
I know that times are tough, post-pandemic, and that might explain why service was a bit slow in the morning....we saw only two waitstaff on what looked like a busy Sunday morning. But the quality was up to Eat'n'Park's standards, and our server was neither neglectful nor pushy. I just can't do five stars for this visit.
It's a nice, cozy restaurant situated in the center of Squirrel Hill. It may not be as big as other Eat'n Park's around the area, but they have great food nonetheless. The servers are fantastic and the food is good, especially the original Superburger and Fries.
Eat n Park is always good in my opinion. Looks like they are recuperating from the pandemic. Not much 9f a crowd for noon on Sunday, maybe because they haven't brought back the salad bar. They did a good job of catering to my dietary restrictions. The veggie egg white omelet with melon was delicious!
