Marketplace Cafe

Wife and I used to go to the restaurants in the columbus circle flagship store when we lived in NYC. We loved eating there. We came to Nordstrom here at Ross Park and noticed they had a cafe. We immediately decided to have dinner here, and it was a great experience. Great staff, great food. Hidden gem.

We found this hidden gem accidentally, but we are glad that we decided to try it. The staff is super nice and the food is great. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and helped make the experience pleasurable. We had the French dip sandwich and a cheeseburger. They were both excellent. The burger was done perfectly which is almost unheard of these days. Everyone gives you well done no matter how you want it. The fries that came with our sandwiches were also ⁴excellent. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Lindsay was my server she was very pleasant and helpful. She definitely defines “service with a smile.” Also she made a couple very good recommendations with the ginger peach tea and the chefs special blackened salmon cesar salad. Both were very delicious. She also sold me on a lemon meringue cookie that I had to take home because I was satisfied from my meal. I’d definitely eat at the marketplace cafe again especially if they have more servers like Lindsay!

Nordstrom Cafe has always been a positive experience! I've never felt I needed to rush through a meal and that's huge. You can enjoy a wholesome meal without having to compete with loud music and crashing dishes. Not only is the food fresh, well prepared and delicious, the staff is kind, caring and fun! Bravo, Kristin, (sp?) chef/manager and Daniel, an extraordinary server! We'll be back for your "encore" again and again!

I don’t shop at Nordstrom, but I do like their cafes. Anything to get away from the lines at Cheesecake Factory. Best things to order are their heirloom tomatoes & burrata appetizer (Order TWO!!!) and their grilled steak tacos. Although, I wish the chef would go back to steaming the corn tortillas instead of par frying them on the grill. Frying them just makes the texture of the corn tortilla a weird combination of chewy and tough. Their Nordstrom Makers chocolate sticks that you get with your check can be purchased at the front register. LOVE those!
