Stopped in here tonight for dinner. Neat little place. Started with a St George Ethiopian beer, wasn't real cold but was tasty. Bought 2 vegetarian dishes and 2 beef dishes, all were good.

Went here for dinner with my wife and child and overall enjoyed our experience. We ordered one vegetarian and one meat sampler (served on the same platter with extra injera) and one order each of beef and chicken sambusas. We are no connoisseurs of Ethiopian cuisine, but we both really enjoyed the food. Portions were generous. I also got a bottle of St. George beer (one of three Ethiopian beers on the menu), which was good and helped complete the meal. While the food was great, we were a little disappointed with service and atmosphere. There was only one server running the entire front when we were there. She was nice and was working hard, but it was clear she could've used some more help. Atmosphere was also kind of meh and felt more like a bland lunch spot. Maybe some Ethiopian music could have made it feel a little more homey. Still, we definitely recommend checking Tana out!

We ate at Tana and experienced Ethiopian food for the very first time today with some very good friends of ours who are well versed with Ethiopian cuisine. Granted, they helped us make our ultimate dining choices, but they were quite similar to chat the waitress had suggested a few minutes before they had arrived (lol). But boy oh boy were we wowed by the results!! Now, we got a lot of different things, so I’m not going to speak to everything, just my absolute favorites, and I’ll use American descriptions - best vegetable dishes - fried lentil appetizer, green bean and carrot entree, cabbage entree. If you like vegetable dishes try Tana. You’ll be given Ethiopian bread with which to pick up your meat or vegetables, the bread serves as your utensils, or if you prefer you can use a fork or spoon, they’re easy!! The bread can be sort of filling! It doesn’t have much of a flavor of texture but serves its purpose. Oh and if you use up the bread they give you, they will gladly give you more!! If you’re looking for a new way to enjoy vegetables, or just a new cuisine entirely, try Tana. You won’t be disappointed. We we’re entirely delighted!!

A simple yet wonderful place to eat - the vegetarian platter was delicious and excellent for sharing. It was also really fun to try eating with only your hands (and to use the sponge bread to scoop up the food) - they provided an extra big cloth napkin for those concerned about the messiness ;)

Our family considers this our favorite place to eat. Authentic Ethiopian dishes always are filling and satisfying. Designed to be eaten with your hands, the dishes are never served hot. (no one wants to burn their hands and their mouth!) Some consider it things slow and drawn out, but that is the way Ethiopian food was meant to be eaten - over time in the company of friends or family with plenty of time to talk and relax. The atmosphere is just the right amount of relaxed while still not feeling overly foreign.

They've cut way down on the menu. But the food is good. It's the only Ethiopian place in Pittsburgh that I know of. It's worth the hour-hour and 15 minute drive. And when I go, I usually bring friends.

Had dinner last night at Tana with my daughter. We both had the Vegetarian Combo which is served on a large crepe with four veggie selections and eaten by hand. I also ordered a side of collard greens which I would recommend. It was very good although I would have liked a bit more seasoning. Service was good and friendly. Attractive, simple decor.

Food was yummy, drinks were good too! Tiff was waiting at our table (and the floor) and also the bartender. She was very hard-working and sincere, and we totally adored her presence. Our friends and I had a great time. Recommended!

Food was good! Might be the only European restaurant in Pittsburgh. We had the vegetarian sampler. I've had it before I always enjoy it.

We're so lucky to have authentic high-quality Ethiopian in the burgh! Excellent service too! We'll definitely be back!
