I can’t say enough good things. Service is always impeccable and friendly. Even when slammed, the waitstaff make you feel like a priority. The menu varies often enough to keep it fresh, but not so often you feel like you can’t get your favorites. If you need something tweaked, they always accommodate as best they can. All that and a great draft list.

Always a 5 star rating. Everytime we come. Their food, service, and atmosphere are consistent. This establishment is nothing less than 5 stars.

Better than I expected. Waitress was very nice. They did accidentally only give my girlfriend a six-piece order of wings, but then they fixed it.

First time and it did not disappoint. The food was really good, well prepared, worth the price! Restaurant was clean, and our server, Jacob, was outstanding, very attentive and courteous. Highly recommend.

Mad mex is definitely a go to. Although tonight the bartender was very miserable and a little chippy when asking what we wanted to drink, all while we just waited for a table. Dinner took a while which is fine since they were busy, but the meat in my Gobblerito didn’t appear to be cooked all the way through.

I went in for a quick and quiet beer, and Mad Mex did not disappoint. Photo of Fat Heads Headhunter IPA

We usually go to this location for cast parties after strike. Generally we call ahead and mention that there will be plenty of us (20+) there and accommodations are generally made for us to sit in a similar section together. Service can be slow, but I'm not talking about the average wait time per large party of guests, more like long periods of time where the waitstaff usually just disappears and doesn't come back to check on the party often.
However
On this last visit, we had some great service.
The food is always decent quality, but isn't super "mexican" in authenticity. I do like non-traditional ideas like the gobblerito and the st Patrick's day burrito of the past, but if you're craving a more Mexican flair, head somewhere less corporate.
Margaritas are always a must.

Food & margaritas were excellent.
A large group came and were having a party for an occasion, and they were way too loud, and we were outside. They should have a room specifically for large parties!! Too loud!!

For those who enjoyed my CVS on Cochran Road review, this is where we went to decompress from that fiasco. Mad Mex has been one of my favorites for over 20 years which is astounding to me as a I write that. The food is wonderful (except, oddly, the flour tortillas. They kinda suck) and the atmosphere always rocks. We eat at a lot of different locations with a strong preference for Robinson after a day of shopping, and I honestly always forget how awesome this location is. I think because it is slightly tucked away I tend to forget about it being here. But today, when I walked in, I was reminded that this location totally rocks. The ladies who greeted me were absolutely wonderful and accomodating. I shared with them the "if you don't like how filthy it is, go to the drive up window" and got exactly the response I would expect from any sane human. Abject horror at the idea of it. Do see my CVS review if you haven't yet read it. It's astounding how terrible it was.

I was in town and planned on stopping at the Applebee’s in the same parking lot. Decided to stop in here and so glad we did! The place had just opened and we were sat immediately. The food was amazing, probably the best Mexican food I’d ever had. The chips were unique as they appeared to be home made and delicious as well. I’ll definitely stop back in if I’m in town! This is a must try!
