Old world Europe, meets Old city Pittsburgh! The Hungarian cuisine was the best I have ever eaten. The aroma from the kitchen was beyond incredible. The service was outstanding. We had the Cucumber salad, the paprika made it extra delicious. Gulyash soup, lavosh, Chicken Paprikas with dumplings, Stuffed Chicken with cheese and butter, and washed it all down with several bottle of Karlvolačko Pilsner from Coatia. You will leave thinking about your next trip to the Northside, as your mind travels back to Hungary for an unforgettable evening of Central European cuisine.

First time there after getting rave reviews from friends and it didn’t disappoint. Great food and our waitress Lisa was knowledgeable about the food and delightful to talk too. Will definitely go back.

Excellent food, worth a visit! My family recommends the Huszar appetizer platter. The meat, cheese, veggies, fruit and bread were delicious. The sweet kraut on the Hungarian kielbasa was so good. The homemade dumplings with beef tips and gravy was also yummy.

I LOVE this place. Chicken paprikas is one of my favorite dishes in the world, and I love it here. It tastes just like in Hungary where I first tried it. I was surprised how fast we were seated and served. Incredible! The food was really delicious. I live about 3h from Pittsburgh but I wouldn't be surprised if I just drive there one day to have dinner. Köszönöm!

Reasonably priced food; a lot of schnitzel-style dumplings. Service was a bit erratic (fast-slow). Not comparable to what I have had in Budapest but I also have a fairly low 'n' for Hungarian food. The desserts looked stellar!

Being Hungarian myself the food is pretty good considering. I had the goulash which was good. The potato pancake was pretty good maybe just a little on the heavy side. The chicken paprikash was really good but could have used a little more salt and personally I like more garlic I don't think they even used any. All in all we will be back to try something else

GREAT Hungarian food in a dive setting. Large portions, friendly staff. Update 10/2023. It has been too long since my last visit. Wonderful food. Great service. Warm comfortable neighborhood atmosphere. The only knock is they do run out of authentic Hungarian wines and liquors. But the food is amazing. I love this place.

Hungarian food is a dying breed in many parts of the U.S. and the opportunity to enjoy a Hungarian meal should be cherished whenever possible. If you have not enjoyed a Hungarian meal, you need to change that as quickly as possible. The meals are warm, filling, and made with love. If I had more room I would have devoured some dessert. Do yourself a favor and join Judy for dinner on a slow night this Summer; Tuesdays - Thursdays are best. She does everything she can to make sure you're enjoying yourself. We started our meal with Beef Goulash, and then immediately devoured our Pork Schnitzel [Rántott Hús] and Mushroom Paprikas with Dumplings [Nokedli]. Huge thanks to Judy for taking care of us during our visit 💖 Much love from Utah

Sorry, the tort (chestnut, chocolate and cherry) was so good, we had taken a bite before I remembered to take a picture. The paprikas (both mushroom and chicken) was outstanding. A perfect dinner out for my true love and I.

The only problem I had with this restaurant is finding a place to park. Trust me, it is worth circling the block for. The creamy onion soup was delectable. I was off in that close your eyes, smile, and mmm'ing all at the same time after one spoon full.

I cannot believe I've never been to this local restaurant. It's in a strange place where you wouldn't notice it if you didn't know it was there. So happy that I finally went there. The food was very good, and the desserts were absolutely the best. I seriously cannot say enough about the service here. ❤️

Cute little place just a bit out of downtown. Server was extremely friendly and gracious. Had goulash (I am used to more beef), chicken paprikash, and kremes (top was perfectly crispy, custard was eggy and just the right amount of sweet) for dessert. Look forward to going again next time we are in Pittsburgh to try more of the menu and a definite repeat on the kremes!
