Quick service, friendly guys at the counter, and above all for the quality and price, a no brainer to go and try them out. I was visiting some family who moved to the city and wanted to try a hoagie from a local stop, got the Sunnyside with the works, and cannot recommend this place more.

I thoroughly enjoyed my take out sandwich from Peppi's on Penn Avenue today. The food is consistently delicious with super soft locally made bread. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and fun! I live in the Strip District neighborhood and Peppi's is a great staple for a good sandwich and fries. The food is 5 stars. It is a neighborhood staple. It is sort of like a greasy spoon local joint without frills or updated decor, but don't let that fool you or deter you when you walk in. Their sandwich game is on point.

In my family's opinion, this place is by far the best sandwich place we have experienced in Pittsburgh. The portions are big enough to keep you full for the majority of the day and the taste is excellent. We recommend the joey portobello and the franco, but everything so far has been great

Fantastic food! Took us about 25 min to get our food, but it was worth the wait. Very nice lady took our order, the chef brought us the food himself and was also incredibly friendly. Food was delicious! We ordered the large Cajun fries, the chicken breast salad, and The Butcher, along with two drinks, and it came out to $30. Very affordable prices for high quality food.

Ah Peppi's. I was the tad disappointed as I was expecting more as the Santucci was voted (according to their menu) on the "must eat list of Pittsburgh!" The old timey shop was pretty neat and the workers were fast and great! The sandwich itself is a monster but the bread was soggy on the inside. Too much house dressing I presume. As I mentioned, just a bit below my expectations. I would love to come back and try other sandwiches, though!

I'm not from Pittsburgh, so there a LOT of places competing for my "eat out" dollars and my attention when I am in town. The strip had many places. But let me tell you... This place is a "must have" for me. Good food, good prices, fantastic staff. Solid.

Small sub shop with big time flavors. If you want to ruin all other sandwich eating experiences, this is the place to be!! Friendly staff delivering knockout after knockout. Homemade fries cooked just right. The absolute best homemade bread that you can't find anywhere else! Soft to chew, but tough enough to not fall apart when packed with delicious perfectly seasoned steak, cheese, veggies, and the right amount of mayo. Quality ingredients and quality service. Everything was delicious and the subs were packed with the right portions of every ingredient. No talking, just chowing down! Great atmosphere in the place too. We came from MN and this was on our "must stop at" list. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be coming back whenever we are in a couple hundred miles of the joint, it's just that good. You won't be disappointed!! Thank you Peppi's for being so wonderful and delicious. Until we meet again!

When shopping in the Strip district this is my family's favorite place to grab some authentic Burgh grub, can't say much more! 🖤💛🖤

Fantastic food and service, all in a classic atmosphere. I’m glad they’ve kept so much around, like the landline phones and the decorations on the walls. The food was great, super heavy but beautifully prepared. I’ll be looking forward to my next visit.
