I work in the city and this has become my go to spot for lunch and happy hours. They also have a great brunch on the weekend which I recently did before a Steeler game and couldn't have been more pleased. Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. Best crab cakes around!

The food was absolutely delicious! Our waitress, Asa made our visit one of the best we’ve ever had at a restaurant. We like the food so much that we’ve invited out of town friends to come just to try it. The brussels sprouts were definitely a hit. We also love the street corn shrimp! And you have to try the old smoky! 10 out of 10 will definitely come back!

We enjoyed a great Sunday brunch at Revel. Great service -- thanks, Margo, you are wonderful. Great food: shrimp and grits were so tasty and creamy; breakfast sandwich was equally tasty and home potatoes were fantastic (don't tell my doctor I enjoyed them). The price was quite reasonable for brunch at a great restaurant. You'll enjoy your time here, too! PS, next time we'll try the Brisket Benedict (recommended by Margo, who was so right about the other dishes).

Went for brunch, got the brisket Benedict and chicken and waffles. Both were good, not amazing but definitely good. For drinks we got the Old Smokey which was a bit too smokey, and bottomless mimosa was $22 and not very boozy. So we were a bit disappointed by the drinks but the food was good. It was crowded but we had good service.

Recently had a business dinner here and it’s great for groups of all sizes. We had excellent, unique takes on classic cocktails to start (espresso martini, autumn daiquiri and old fashioned). The food was remarkable- a colleague was impressed with the NY Strip and I could eat the Chicken Frites (grilled chicken with chimichurri) every day. Servers are helpful, friendly and attentive. The lights were a bit bright, but the overall ambiance was great- very cool but not too loud so we could still have conversation. Definitely recommend!

Updated review 3/12/23. Thank you Mathew, Addison and staff for a truly VIP experience at your Sunday brunch this afternoon. A great choice for downtown dining, Revel Restaurant is a cozy spot right next to Market Square. A truly relaxing ambiance to enjoy a refined menu of American cuisine. There are many creative menu options to choose from. Brisket Benedict, Shrimp and Grits, Smoked Salmon, and Avocado Toast to name a few. The service is excellent and the chef's are eager to cater to various dietary restrictions beyond the vegan and vegetarian options already available on the menu. The atmosphere is elegant and cozy, with a varied drink menu that features unique hand-crafted cocktails, beer and wine. Their Saturday and Sunday Brunch is excellent, and a great choice for a special occasion or a casual gathering with friends. Parking is convenient in the nearby garages or on-street.

Absolutely brilliant breakfasts! The staff are fantastic and make you feel so welcome. Went on multiple occasions during our trip from the UK. You will not be disappointed!

This was a great brunch experience. DJ was a great server and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The location is conveniently located near market square with on and off-street parking. The brunch menu had many selections and we were given complementary blueberry beignets. I had the steak and eggs. It was very good, but I would have liked my eggs to have been cooked better. My mother had the shrimp and girts. Four large shrimp and was cooked to perfection. The ambiance is lovely. It was a cold day and as soon as we walked it warm and we were greeted. The music was great! Wasn’t too loud and was an eclectic mix. We were seated against the wall in sturdy plastic chairs. This is a restaurant that I would go back to again for brunch and would try it for dinner also.

We had a bunch of appetizers and we tried a few of their signature cocktails. The crab dip was hands down the best thing we tried. Hard second would be the Casadilla… that thing was pretty darn good also! We tried both pizzas they offer on the menu. The OG and the margarita. They were ok…. The pretzel itself was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the beer cheese. The crispy pork belly had great flavor but was definitely over cooked. The drinks were all really good. Kinda expensive but it is in market square downtown… maybe that’s why. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had high expectations for Revel and Roost because it was recommended by so many friends. I chose Roost for my birthday and we visited on a Saturday night. Perhaps they were having an off night but here was our experience. Upon arrival, we were seated courteously and promptly by the hostess in a half empty dining room and we were given water. While I realized the restaurants were connected, what I didn’t know is that 1. It was a game night and 2. There was no speration between levels. This resulted in what I thought would be a nice relaxing atmosphere into what felt like an expensive dinner in a sports bar with loud cheering interrupting conversation. After we were given water, we sat probably another 10 minutes before our server asked us if we would like drinks. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu and I had a hard time choosing because the flavor profiles all sounded amazing. My partner chose the fixed menu for restaurant week and I went off of it and got the scallops, beets, and petite filet. They delivered some bread with spreads to snack on while we waited for our food. Our appetizers arrived and the server who delivered them aimed the plate, not kidding, right into my face (it actually startled me) and I had to take it out of his hand instead of him placing them on the table. My partner enjoyed her salad and while my scallops were tasty, they did come burnt. The second course came and one of the reasons I ordered the beets was because of my love of beets and cilantro. No cilantro to be found, I had to ask for it. Right when I was asking our server for the cilantro, our main dishes arrived. She was obviously flustered and told the other server that she didn’t want them served now because we weren’t ready for them but we assured her it was fine, no big deal. The steak was delicious but mine came nearly well done when it was ordered medium. I would have said something to the server but she never returned to ask how anything was. I ate it, it was good even though over cooked. Then, desserts came. One of them was the Crème brûlée, the flavor was excellent but the top was soft and mushy like it had been made and then stored in the fridge for a day or so, more like a thick pudding then a brûlée. I gave them three stars because I really feel like this could have been a great experience but everything fell short with both the service and lack of attention that went into the food. If I’m being honest, this meal wasn’t worth $180, it was lack luster in every sense of the word and not worth another try.

Had a wonderful experience overall. Most of the party ordered various cuts of the Iowa beef and couldn't rave enough about the quality and taste, we all would definitely order again! My sister ordered the Murrays chicken breast which was a bit dry and not nearly as flavorful as the steak the rest of us had. Service was excellent, Mila was wonderful! I would most definitely dine there again and will highly recommend it to others.

A great selection of entrees, atmosphere wonderful recommend dining again in next upcoming months. The special drinks are fantastic every meal was deliciously I had the Salmon and kale salad. My daughter had the 12 ounce steak fabulous. My Spouse devoured his meal can't remember the selection I was too busy eating and drinking . lol

Market Square’s best kept secret. We LOVED it and our server Courtney was excellent as was the entire staff. We will definitely return. The Pittsburgh video slide show was a great backdrop. We just enjoyed the entire atmosphere at Revel+Roost.

The service is always amazing here. Both at Revel and Roost they are attentive and quick. The food is excellent. The Shrimp and Grits are a must when dining here but the fried chicken is a good choice too! because of the service and food we always suggest Revel and Roost when dining out and always pick Revel and Roost when special occasions come up! Thank you for being so wonderful!

We ate there with friends on Saturday evening. Bartender Ryan S. is one of the best in the city his drinks were amazing.. Entrees were good but took forever, they were out of scallops which were used on multiple menu items.. Service was ok, no pre bussing of table so plates were all slacked up. Artisan cheese plate was great crostinis were stale as heck.. Our server was well informed and very attentive and did a fine job but seem like a busser should have been in the dining room for water service and pre bussing in between courses. With a check over 200.00 you expect it all.. All in all we will go back again.. �

My wife and I both enjoyed one of the best filet mignon' s we ever had, seasoned and cooked to perfection. My son loved the duck. The atmosphere was elegant amd quite. The server was pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed celebrating our sons graduation from the university of Pittsburgh.

Beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful service. Delicious food! Bigger portions than I would expect at an up scale restaurant. The cocktails and wine list are terrific. The cheese plate is large and the filet was perfectly cooked. Great for date nights or large parties.

Some of the food was veryyyyy good, some was horrific. Was extremely disappointed with how the staff handled a certificate we wanted to use. Definitely expected more from Revel. Service was very slow, so we were stuck there a lot longer than expected. Leaving us to have to deal with a lot of people from the bar out after dinner drinking and mistaking our high top DINNER TABLE for there bar top and using it as such...

We had a great dinner and enjoyed watching NCAA March Madness this evening at Revel+Roost. The service from the greeter to our waiter Jaron and the server assistant Devon was awesome. Jaron was attentive and accommodating. We were very impressed with the care that Devon took preparing the dining room for guests. We spoke to the manager before leaving and quickly recognized that his leadership showed through these employees making our evening special. Thank you, we will be back soon!

During an impromptu brunch break between fitness events we stumbled on this WONDERFUL establishment. The service staff was fantastic, the manager exceptional tableside edicate, the culinary staff presentation was flawless, and the hostess... not only was beautiful but very polite and made the closure of the visit. Each of these staff members today played an equal part in the reason why I will definitely refer others to Revel, but slso return to Revel + Roost myself.
