My husband and I had date night here tonight. It was the best place I have ever been to! The food was excellent and the staff was phenomenal! Very friendly place! I have never been to a place before that had such great service like we experienced tonight! Great job and keep up the great work! Def worth every penny!! Will be coming back!!

Was my second visit and will be coming again! Every time we visit it is not loud or too crowded food is great and has an intimate atmosphere. Love the meats and how there are so many offered and can try a little bit of everything including cinnamon sugar pineapple mmm. Compared to other Brazilian restaurants in Pittsburgh this is by far my favorite. Excellent and exceptional service from the entire staff if I could rate this place higher than 5 stars I would
The food is absolutely amazing, very flavorful with a wide variety of side dishes and seafood in addition to the meat. The staff and owner are also extremely attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great dining experience.
Excellent food. The meats are prepared medium to medium rare in most instances which is perfect. Good house sangria. Good house desserts. Good house seafood bar. The staff is very attentive and the beers are very reasonable priced. Proven winner time and time again even if the decor isn't appealing to the younger crowds. The food speaks for itself. Highly recommend the filet and mushroom sauce and fresh tuna. We come back every year and you can usually find a coupon in many publications. Highly recommend and do not go to a chain for the love of all that is holy.
Much better that the Palms. Title says it all.
This is a carnivore's heaven! So much meat and all so tender and mouth watering. Yes, it's $40. And, yes, it's worth every penny.

Green means Go!. The Green Forest Brazilian Restaurant is a great special occasion choice. It is an all you can eat style with a variety of fabulous food. I believe they have over 16 or 17 meat selections alone. They have disks marked green and red to alert your servers to stop or go with the meat offerings. They also have a hot and cold buffet, which is an expansive area in addition to the meats served table side. Our gang referred to the service as "swords of meat".
The cold bar consists of many salads shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, sushi and sashimi. The Portabella salad was delicious as well as the grilled asparagus.
On the hot buffet they have Lobster mashed potatoes and Paella.

For dessert we enjoyed the coconut flan and passion fruit mousse (when tried together was the perfect combination of sweet & tart) which were both good. There were many other options too. Please be aware that desserts may NOT be included in your special, so please check. They also have a well stocked bar. If you have a big appetite especially for meat, this is the certainly the place to go.
Check out their website for specials. I have also seen GROUPON specials from time to time too. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have an early bird special from 4 - 6 PM: $37 instead of $42.50.
Service was attentive and pleasant. Also be aware that this restaurant is not visible from the main road (Rodi Rd), but it sits up in an office complex, conveniently located right off the parkway east, Penn Hills exit.

Feast on Meats... and many other delights!!!. Green Forest was amazing years ago, and it continues to be a favorite today. I have been there a couple times this past year, and each time was reliably perfect. Here are some details from our most recent visit:
The owners and staff are very welcoming and attentive. They really show pride for their restaurant, and that shines through in the food.
While the meat is the star of the show, the hot bar, and to a lesser extent salad bar, are awesome. The hot bar includes feijoada, a Brazilian bean and sausage stew; rice; an unmissable seafood stew in coconut sauce containing mussels, fish, shrimp, and clams; beef vegetable soup; and other rotating dishes, like lobster mashed potatoes. All were great. The salad bar is worth visiting for its selection of fine hams and cheeses, but pasta salads and cold vegetable salads are good but not great.
Then...the meat. Waves and waves of meat. On your first visit from the meat server, they ask how you like your meat cooked and tend to offer you the pieces that are to your liking. I like my meat pretty rare, and every piece was cooked to my liking. After my husband and I leave, we like to see if we can remember all the meat the came around, and we counted 15. Plus pineapple and garlic bread. Some highlights were the parmesan-crusted filet, skirt steak with chimichurri, garlic filet cooked tableside (a new addition, I think), slab bacon, flank steak, ribeye (probably the overall favorite), turkey wrapped in bacon, filet wrapped in bacon, leg of lamb, and filet in red wine mushroom sauce. So, pretty much everything. :) To be fair, we aren't wild about the Brazilian sausage, and the lamb chops were a little overcooked. But seriously, everything else was fantastic.
Special shout out to our main meat server, who came around when we were slowing down to ask if there was anything particular we would like. We said that we wouldn't say no to some leg of lamb, which he brought around shortly thereafter. On that high note we admitted defeat and flipped our indicator-thingy to red, but he brought around some lamb chops right after, just to make sure we didn't want them. That was so thoughtful, he won extra points from both of us.
Green Forest is clearly still on top of it's game--- it's worth going to more than just once a year!
Not much to say but perfection! What a fun experience!! Nicole, our server, was sweet and spot on with service. Flavia, an owner is so sweet and helpful. The salad bar....ooh laa laa... And the variety of grilled meats. Unbelievable!! Can't wait to return!
Great!. Great food, great service, great owner. Skirt steak is soooo wonderful as well as many other things. I try to get there once a month. And go hungry!

Great Experience. We were early for our reservation and there were several other couples already there watiting. We went to the bar and had a drink and they sat us 15 minutes earlier than our reservation.
The buffet was excellent, there wasn't anything we put on our plates that we didn't enjoy. The real star of this place is obviously the meat. We spent almost 2 hours here and the varieties of meat offered to us were outstanding. They asked us how we wanted our meat cooked before slicing and if they were not able to accomodate with what they had, they came back. At one point the hostess came around and asked if there was anything special we were hoping to have (she did this with all of the tables) and my boyfriend told her what slice of meat he wanted and she made sure we got it.
While the meal is pricier than going to Applebee's, for what you get, the price we paid was pretty reasonable. We also shared the chocolate mousse and that was delightful as well.
We are already planning our next trip back.
Inndigo Blue is a nice restaurant. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food was excellent. I had a cup of French onion soup and a chef's salad, both of which were quite good. My server (Kimberly) was helpful and very pleasant. She was appropriately attentive to my needs without being in any way intrusive. I live about 4 hours away and was here on business staying at the Comfort Inn (attached). I don't know when/if business will take me to this same address again, but for a simple, tasty dinner, Inndigo Blue is a winner. Thanks!!
Very nice place that serves a variety of food!
I would call this the "surprise on the hill." Can't comment on the hotel it's in, but it seemed old and smelly when we walked through the lobby. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good... one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" moments. A large group of us (out of town) had everything from pizza to Reubens, soup, wings, salads, burgers and more. All tasted delicious, even the sauce on the pizza was flavorful, which was the biggest surprise. We'll be going back a second time before we leave!
Great drinks, reasonable prices food is good. Great staff. An above average hotel restaurant/bar.
Had an anniversary dinner here. There was lots of food - all very good and a variety of desserts! Hubby loved the chocolate cake. I had cheesecake that wasn't up to my standards (I make my own) so I took a piece of cherry pie home with me that was very good. We also took several large pieces of turkey home with us that were super moist and delicious. Service was fast and efficient and there was a band to provide entertainment. Overall it was a pleasant evening.
Staff was extremely warm and friendly. Our server, Gina, was the best and made sure our son was very well taken care of. Excellent food. My wife loved the Cajun Chicken.
Some of the food is outstanding. Some reminds me of cafeteria food. The place is beautiful with higher end touches and a wall of windows overlooking a vista of the parkway and woods. Portions are good-sized. I just feel like this place has more potential than it's currently showing.
Omg the food was excellent the atmosphere was peaceful & jumping at the same time. The DJ did a fantastic job combining old scho & new day music. Had a wonderful time.
Great atmosphere, great food, and our server Rob was excellent 10/10 would eat again.
