It's one of the gems of downtown Pittsburgh undoubtedly and I'm nowhere near biased because I've never been and I'm not a local. Now it wasn't my first choice because I was headed to brunch, but it was packed and the staff at that other place weren't eager for a new customer when they had some outdoor seating. That being said, I'm so glad I happened upon Winghart's. It feels like a welcoming hole in the wall being tucked into the corner of this downtown square. The staff were welcoming immediately and pointed me to available seating. The bartender was great with her recommendations and the service was excellent. Food was absolutely delicious with special shoutouts going to French velveeta mac and cheese and the Nad-Alie burger. I was happily stuffed.
Get a mac and one of the burgers (all perfectly crafted). Fries were pretty good. BBQ wings were great.
Amazing food, super high quality stuff but not too pricey. It was empty when we went, but normally I bet it's pretty crowded. Not many tables. About a dozen spots at the "grill". Worth any length of wait though.
Good food, comfortable atmosphere, not brightly lit. Not sure if there is another way up, but the stairs were not pleasant with sore knees.
Tikki Masala wings were good, unfortunately they were out of bone in.
Fish Tacos were good, options on the fish preperation.

We had a wonderful burger in this place! The cooking was perfect and the flavours explosive. Even if the place seems to be dark and not welcoming at first sight, it is just a wrong impression. People there were very kind and the Mattola Burger I had (the big one, two half pound parties) was wonderful, just as the fries to share were. It is definitely a to-try-and-like place! And do not be afraid to sit on the high tables next to the open kitchen, the smells there are wonderful 😁
I love this place. Great food, music and the vibe overall is pretty epic. Just don't bring a party of more than 4 people on the lower level. They have an upstairs with seating for larger parties. But this place isn't large.
Had the Blue burger and it was nothing short of awesome. Fresh cut fries and beer selection also very good.
Wing 💙s is my favorite after work place to go....so many different options to choose from....i need to order every item off the menu for sure..such friendly service and the manager is amazing
By 6:30pm yesterday, I realized I had only eaten a whopping 200 calories...in the form of raw veggies and black coffee. So I decided it would be OK to indulge in some Winghart’s for my evening meal! I didn’t want to go overboard, so just stuck to the Mumbai Pie. Being Indian, I was both intrigued and skeptical as to what this Indian-inspired pizza could be. It was incredible! A 10” thin crust pizza on what looked and tasted like an atta flour (wheat) crust, the base was their take on a tikka masala sauce, topped with minced grilled chicken (like keema), a few fresh mozzarella slices and scallions. I ended up eating the entire thing in about 5 minutes, and don’t regret one bit of it! It was delicious and I highly recommend the Mumbai Pie at Winghart’s. I’ve also tried their garlic wings and perogies, which were also delightful.... but can’t wait to try the Shipwreck burger and much talked about Boomer pizza, next!
The food( 4 different burgers, whiskey mac and white truffle aioli fries) was AMAZING. Best burger I've ever had in a restaurant. Everyone ordered different donesses and every burger was PERFECT!!!!! The space is small but it was not busy on a tuesday afternoon but cant imagine what its liked packed. We will be back.
The burgers are fresh and flavorful. The fries are large, you only need one order for the whole table of four people. Wonderful prices on the whole menu.
