I love this place! Absolutely beautiful ambiance with a menu and food to match. Short take: highly, highly recommended. This was the next stop on our getting-to-know-Pittsburgh tour. It was recommended by one of my partner's new coworkers, and I will be sure to take all of her advice moving forward.
From the moment you enter, you walk down a long narrow hall to where the host is waiting. You get the feeling you've walked through a portal into a secret world. The indoor dining room is elegant and beautifully lighted, amazing art on the walls. Leaving the indoor dining, you walk down a narrow sidewalk lined with fountains and Thai sculptures and find your way back to the outdoor dining area. Even though spacious, the placement of plants and statues gives it an intimate feel.
The menu has too many interesting choices! It's the kind of place you know you'll need to visit again to try everything. We ordered the crispy fried red snapper with bok choy, and went traditional with the pad thai for our second dish. They were both amazing! You can choose your level of spiciness from 1 (mild) to 5 (HAWT!). We went in the middle with a 3 and that was plenty hot for us. We might step down to 2 next time. The portions were very large and we got at least two more meals out of what we took home.
They don't serve alcohol but there's an interesting looking beer place across the street that we may check out next time.

This is a cute and decorative restaurant. I came with 2 other people and ate here for lunch. Tasty food, we got pad Thai, vegetable green curry and the spicy noodle. All dishes came with either soup or salad. I had the soup and really liked the noodles and ground chicken in it. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant added 20% gratuity automatically to our check

Such a great place! The drinks were delicious and beautiful. The food was even better! The dumplings are the best! Service was so nice and quick. Our bartender was great!!

This was our first time. I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is pretty rad, and feels like you're eating at someones grandmas house. Limited seating, which I also enjoyed, as it offers a quaint feel. The service was great and really friendly. As a table, we tried 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and some lassi. Everyone loved everything on the table. Flavorful, with a great spice balance. I will definitely be going back again, and I recommend you try it out for yourself!

First time at Nicky's, and it was superb. We each got a different kind of curry so we can have a taste treat. Red, green, massaman, and Panang. It's all delicious with Panang, my favorite. #4 spiciness was not overbearing. Will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurants in downtown Pittsburgh, Food is tasty, service was super fast. Weekends are crowded, expect 10-15mins wait time. They only concern was inside it was too hot, temperature was not maintained well or could be due to too much crowd.

I have been here several times for dine in and have never been disappointed. The location is legit in someone's home so it has a very comfortable feel. If you get the chance when it's warm sit outside in the back patio. There are statues and flowers and a large fountain. It is absolutely beautiful. The service has always been very polite and helpful. I highly recommend the flower tea and the spicy noodle. Their curries are delicious as well.

Nickys has some of the best Thai in Pittsburgh. They have a few locations. We often visit the one on Western Ave. If the weather permits sit outside. You won't be sorry. Great food, great people and atmosphere.

Imagine someone driving you down a gravel road in an old car. The road cuts through a farmers fields of Low growing Vegetables. You put the window down and smell the air, a cow turns to watch you pass in the distance. That is the beef noodle. It was wonderful.
The staff were very attentive, a small shop but ran by people who care and keep it very clean.
Nice portions, the price is worth it.

Best Thai Restaurant in Pittsburgh, and this is the better location compared to their downtown location! Great atmosphere, great staff, great food! This is the best thai restaurant (and one of the best restaurants period) in the Pittsburgh area). My husband and I came here for our very first date, and we have come here many times since. Our most recent visit was on my husband's birthday. They not only gave him a small cake, but also gave him a $25 gift card as a present! These people really take good care of you!

Spring rolls are simple but good. I wouldn't recommend the sriracha pork appetizer, it was underwhelming and fatty. The yellow noodle curry and green curry were both excellent and I'll definitely be a return customer here.

Hands down, it's one of the best Thai places in the city. The patio is just gorgeous, and sitting there drinking iced Thai coffee amongst the plants and fountains is wonderful. Generous portions and very allergen friendly as well, within reason of course, loved the soup and salad. Perfect date spot or place to take the family when they're in town, especially given how close it is to the park and pirates stadium.
Note to people who aren't familiar with Thai eating practices: use the spoon and fork, you use the fork to shovel food onto the spoon. It's much easier to eat thai food the Thai way, especially the salads and noodle dishes. It's why they give you such a big spoon.

Very unique dishes. Lots of options for vegetarians. The samosa was really good in the veg platter. Thin rice noodles version of see aw was delicious too. Dessert was very unique but a little less in quantity. Decent service.
