Because I am a Yelp Elite member before I utilize any service I check Yelp first to make a decision on where to go. Not all reviews are equal so before relying on a review alone there are other factors that should be considered before making a decision on whether or not to try it out. Some of those factors for me are pictures. Pictures of the food that was taken by previous customers. Pictures tell a story that words have failed to convey. If you look at a picture of food and you have an extensive knowledge of cooking, and eating.. there are things that you will pick up on that most will overlook. By relying on this method I’ve made some very solid decisions on picking great places to eat which why I have been dubbed MayaliaBarris The Urban Traveler. If you are looking for a restaurant to patronize I am your go to person. The location.... Nestled in the Pittsburg Marina, next to their redeveloped Down town area which has a variety of well established restaurants and businesses. The ambience is casual and I would say that It doesn’t match the quality of the food that is served there. The food quality is indicative of a restaurant that requires a suit and tie. My Fiancé had a the biggest cut of a filet mignon that I have ever seen offered in a restaurant. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection! I ordered bacon wrapped Prawns in a garlic cream sauce... it was heaven in my mouth. Fresh Garlic, cream, butter, fresh vegetables and the presentation alone had me! I was so beyond impressed with this place that looked as if it was a diner/ cafe but the food served makes this place a best kept secret. The service was great, after our meal the chef came and shook hands with my fiance and Father. The cocktails served were phenomenal! My family had AMF’s and I had Sangria. It is a full service bar so one will not be disappointed. I highly suggest that you visit this establishment I assure you that there will be no regrets.
Finally great food in Pittsburg Marina. Full bar with excellent choice of tequilas! High quality food and super nice staff. Great spot to eat outside and be on the delta. Rumor has it they may open for breakfast soon.
The huevos rancheros was good but spicier than I was expecting. It was nice that a side of veggies were available during breakfast hours but they were. completely unseasoned. Large menu and a full bar.
Location is the greatest things about this place. Waiters are decent and friendly. If you're interested in a quick bite, or just have some coffee or beer and look at a wonderful waterfront scene in Pittsburg then this is your place.
Good food. Great bloody Mary's. Wish I would have taken a picture of the food. We got the BLT and the Monterey chicken sandwich. Both were delicious.
Unexpectedly found this little gem with my family today! The restaurant was clean and thankfully didn't smell fishy (which I anticipated because they offer a large seafood menu). Pretty good dinner menu! We came on the second day of their new seafood menu, which has plenty to choose from. I ordered the Golden State Filet Mignon, which was cooked to order and comes with a side (I asked for brown rice and paid extra for the side of carrots). The seafood was obviously fresh (as I mentioned before, no fishy smell anywhere) and tasted great in the Garlic Butter Shrimp my dad ordered, and the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp that my mom had. Service as friendly, and checked in with us often. We'll definitely come back for another visit!
Great service and we both loved our meals . Seating is right next to the marina and they used masks and I watched them clean the tables
