The food was awesome!!! The homemade pretzel to die for!!!! The cherry crumb pie superb!!!! You must try their zucchini bread❤️ Prices were great! I went a bit overboard, but came back with left overs. I am from California just visiting but I will be back every time I come to town for a visit!!! It is so worth the stop 😋

Today I was in my wife's home town grabbing a bite of some of her favorite foods. We started with a "California cheese burger" and chased it down with a triple berry cider from the bar. We finished our meal with chocolate cake and peanut butter icing along side cherry crumble. The burger was nicely cooked and we'll seasoned. The cake had a moist crumb with a rich chocolatey flavor and a think icing that was full peanut flavor. I really liked the crumb on the cherry pie. It was sweet and fine. I would definitely say if you want a break when heading down hwy 81, you should take a 20 to 30 minute detour and grab a great bite. The staff here ramps this one too l a definite 4 out of 5

I haven't eaten here in over a year, since I don't live that close but its still good. I met a friend for lunch and we both ordered club sandwiches. However, we should have just order one to split since we each took half to go. Our clubs were each VERY full and delicious. Our waitress (sorry I forget her name) was on-it and super nice.

This is tough, for the last few weekends I've been eating here. Place is nice but the prices are SKY HIGH compared to Buddy's Log Cabin restaurant and other places in Schuylkill. For example, a basic Tuna Salad with only one single lousy scoop of tuna is $17.00 😳 ... THEY ARE NUTS ! Okay, yeah everyone will say that inflation made prices go up, but this place is price gouging it's customers. and if you order a Tuna Melt on a roll BEWARE as it has almost NO TUNA on the thing, and is bland tasting.. you'll be very disappointed if you are expecting more than a thin layer smear of tuna on this sandwich roll. They honestly should be ashamed. Then we ordered with a meal Mac-n-Cheese with stewed tomatoes and I wasn't given any stewed tomatoes.. how do you run out of that ???? Place had acoustic guitar entertainment tonight, that's great for the bar side, but it was too darn loud for folks eating. Sooo LOUD that on the restaurant side even sitting all the way in the back I could not talk with my friend and our children at all. Just a miserable experience for a night out to eat with the kids after working all week. Perhaps other things on the menu are good, if I go back I'll try them and report ..

Red Lion Cafe was an unexpected find on our travels. We stopped for breakfast, it was not terribly busy. We sat down at our booth and were promptly waited on. Our server was cheerful and happy. We placed our orders and were shocked when they were brought to us. You get a truckload of food and it is good! So bring your appetite if you leave hungry it is your own fault. As we were eating our meals the restaurant filled up quickly. So come early and get a good seat.
