Based on the "star review" we were a little skeptical. We are huge Google reviewers and pay attention to reviews. Rarely will we go to a place that has less than 4 stars. BUT, when reading the "bad" reviews. I got a giggle from the answers that the owner gives and honestly felt he was right in most instances...so we took the chance! SO happy we did! This place was the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen, the service was fantastic and the food was the best we have had in the week we have been here! And... It doesn't hurt that it's 5 mins from our campground. Dave had the French toast with sausage. Thick bread, perfectly cooked with 4 sizable links of sausage. I had the Country Fries, scrambled eggs with onions and peppers and home fries all mixed in. I added a side of their sausage gravy as well and it was amazing. Enough for me to bring home for another meal! We didn't have one bad experience, except for maybe the fly that was buzzing around, but anywhere that you open a door, a fly will come in LOL We are here 3 more weeks and will definitely return!!

I give this place 3.5 stars. Let me tell you why... Traveling from upstate NY to NC, I chose this place because it was just off rt 81 and I didn't have to take a 15 min detour to grab a quick breakfast. (We don't eat fast food) Even after reading the negative reviews. (Good reviews are good reviews but I like to see what people complain about.) My first issue are the owners responses. Very unprofessional. #2 not an issue just an observation so, just to verify..there is no wait to be seated sign but, we were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere. The servers were very pleasant and all seemed to be productive on this quiet Thursday morning. Service and food was all appropriately timed. #3. The food. Food was OK. Not great, not bad. I ordered the hungry man breakfast, my husband the diner breakfast. The hashbrowns could've been cooked a bit longer. Same w my French toast. All in all not a bad experience. Thanks Yvonne:) Service was good, food was decent and the place is clean. Thanks for reading. Still need to change hours of operation on google.

Loved the retro decor in this awesome trip back in time... I mean diner! My kid went crazy wanting his picture everywhere inside and enjoyed getting some goodies from the quarter machines while we waited for a table. About 8pm on a Friday, there were a good bit of people in there but still plenty of tables available in this mini diner. Wait staff, while very friendly, was rather slow even bringing us menus, which is why I give this place a 4 instead of a 5. We waited about 10 minutes just to have menus brought to us, which we could have used the 10 minutes while they were busy to be looking at the menus picking out or meal. Once we finally got them our waitress was pretty attentive from there on out which was great. I got an old fashioned milkshake made with real ice cream scoops and fresh fruit. It was DELISH! Everyone else's food was also super good. Pricing a tiny tiny bit higher than what I would have expected but nothing too unreasonable ($6 for a milkshake, $6 or $7 for 2 pancake short stack with no sides). They also have a beer fridge that patrons were coming in to purchase to go beer/wine and a few folks enjoying a beer at the counter top seats. Would definitely recommend checking out this cool place if you are in the area!!

This is a fantastic retro themed diner off Exit 100 of I81. It's not on the exit signs on 81! Breakfast all day, American fare. Excellent service and affordable price

The SOS is highly recommended (I had it over home fries). The sausage gravy over biscuits was wonderful! Only complaint was the biscuits were smaller than I expected, but that's minor. Overall, clean and bright, waitress(es) were friendly and service was quick.

What a gem this is! They had nice parking for our truck in the back. It was so nice to have an amazing meal after eating fast food constantly. We had pork chops with apple sauce - so delicious. Our waitress was just amazing. Loved her personality ❤. It was also very clean, with nice restrooms. We marked this down as a favorite, can't wait to go back.

I stopped at this diner today with 3 friends. We were traveling on I-81 and found it on Trip Advisor. I will say that the staff was wonderful and the food was very good. Our server, named Amber was friendly, helpful, efficient, accommodating, and is a credit to the Diner. The prices were reasonable. The food was well prepared and delivered fairly quickly. I would absolutely make it a point to stop there again when I am traveling that way. Well done!
