Just had dinner and had to rave about this place. For appetizers we had, deviled eggs, fried olives, three dip (hummus, romesco and beet) appetizer platter, for main course we had New York Strip Steak, Mac and Cheese, and Rack of Lamb on cauliflower purée. For desert we had slice of chocolate cake and rice pudding. I had a little of everything. My favorites were fried olives the rack of lamb and rice pudding. Rack of lamb was smooth and succulent. Strip steak was like melted buttery goodness. The chocolate cake was rich sweet chocolate that gave you sweet warmth. The service is friendly. I loved this place. Will come again.
The food is so reasonable with farm fresh produce and grass fed options . It was literally one of the best meals I have had in a long time . Don’t forget to try the rice pudding , it is the most delicious desert ever .
The owners are so friendly and delightful and the lavender gardens growing outside are just beautiful.
A truly amazing feast for all the senses .
Roie Casey Hernandez Excellent food..had the fried olives and they were amazing! Also the hummus, steak and mac and cheese..all were perfect! Service was fast and owners were very nice. I will go back and highly recommend!

Excellent food and cocktails. Owners and staff are very nice. Highly recommend.
The food in incredible, what a special place. Fresh ingredients, eclectic dishes with an awesome atmosphere. Officially opening soon, worth the trip over! The owners Arif and Sabeen could not be nicer.

An unexpected great find in what seems to be the middle of nowhere. With great vegetarian options to boot. Friendly staff, awesome bartender, and hardworking owners who are giving it their all to keep customers coming back. Loved it.
Solid local food. Love the history of the place and that it feels like you're at a secret hideaway that only a precious few know about. Owners are sweet as pie to boot.
If you are ever by the Wallkill Bethel visit this little gem of a restaurant for dinner Wednesday-Sunday or lunch Saturday and Sunday...highly recommended!!!
We love coming here! Food is amazing for din and brunch. The atmosphere is so relaxing and everyone is so friendly.
Lovely owners, a small but varied menu... from the Owl Burger (not made from a real owl! ) to a Vegetable Curry...would have loved to try their all day Sunday brunch but next trip!
The fried olives are something I will be craving for a long time to come! I would have never thought of this combination but I'm glad I tried it. I ordered the Hoot Owl cocktail and the bartender nailed it! Great presentation. Great overall vibe.
So nice to see this landmark brought back to life. Food was terrific. Olives and cauliflower is delicious! The owners are so friendly and sweet. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
Loved the Indian food tonight and gracious new owners. Thank you for a great meal. Will definitely be back again with our friends and family.
Get the fish tacos, the lamb meatballs and the beef kebab! And stay for the friendship!!! Great owners!
Very good service, tasty fresh food. Nicely renovated, reasonably priced. Happy to have a local business open. Good luck!!
We love this place. Definitely friendly. Great food. Must do.
Another fun night at the Hoot Owl. Definitely worth the drive out there.
Great food, cute place and very nice owners. Definitely check them out!!!
The lentil soup and Indian beef main course were first-class. Nice to have the Hoot Owl open again, and such welcoming proprietors running it.
Great menu, looks amazing inside, and friendly staff!!
We were pleasantly surprised! Nice new owners, nicely renovated, great food!! We will definitely be back
Excellent food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff
Great food and nice owners! The appearance is unassuming from the outside but it's really nice in there!
Delicious food and a warm, friendly atmosphere! Arif and Sabeen are not just running a business. They embody the true spirit of community!
Our first time dining here, definitely won't be the last! Friendly and attentive service. I was impressed that our waitress made note of my dietary restrictions when I made the reservation and asked me detailed questions to ensure there were no issues. When I had a few questions for her, she went directly to the Chef for the answers.
The food was phenomenal. For appetizers we shared the Duck Fat Fried Dates with Labneh and lemon thyme, Crispy Potato Croquettes with garlic aioli and gruyére cheese, and Crispy Brussels Sprouts with maple syrup agro-dolce, toasted hazelnuts, mint, and smoked sea salt. Our entrees were the Linguine with 30 clove pomodoro, roasted cherry tomatoes, parmigiano, and marjoram. Desserts were the Warm Doughnuts with ricotta and chocolate hazelnut sauce, and the Sea salt caramel chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream.
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish!
I’m not sure a restaurant could have blown us away more. We walked in without much prior knowledge other than a quick pass-by and a google search.
It was, without a doubt, the best meal any of us have had in recent memory.
We sat at the bar after only a few minutes wait, the co-owner and bartender took care of us and struck up a great conversation. After an impossible set of choices, we ordered: potato croquettes, delicata squash, spiced lamb ribs, eggplant with burrata, dates with labneh, burger, and rigatoni and topped it off with a spicy margarita each.
Each and every dish was spectacular, fresh, well seasoned, and quite frankly perfect. We were enjoying it so much no one’s plate was safe from the neighborly vultures and we ate entirely family style.
Many hours later and still an errant comment of “best meal ever” “I could not be happier” “oh my god, those dates” pops up in conversations as we continue our wonderful weekend upstate.
Only 5 weeks since opening and this restaurant is firing on all cylinders. We can’t wait to return… again… and again… and again.
Excellent addition to the hudson valley food scene. New owners who are so sweet opened up a couple of months ago. I got the chicken Milanese which was excellent and my husband got the most incredibly juicy perfectly cooked pork chop. Every detail from the service , decor and especially the food was top notch! We will be back!
I ate dinner there last night with a dozen people. The food was Spectacular and the portions were very very generous. The service was also exceptional. I look forward to being a regular.!
We had our daughter’s engagement party at One with Land. The Chef Jarod and Tara were amazing! The food was fabulous from the appetizers, main course and deserts. Tara managed the open bar and the delivery of the food. They took time during the event to ensure that we were happy with everything. We had 48 people at this event and we got to enjoy every minute. All our guests acknowledged how great the food was and that they would return to this restaurant again. Thank you Jared and Tara for making this event a beautiful time and the menu was top notch!
I would give 10 stars if I could! My fiancé and I had our engagement party here and it was absolutely amazing! We had a guest count of approx 50 people. The food was served family style with plenty of veggie and meat options. The food was so flavorful and everyone enjoyed everything. Our guests were raving about the food and cocktails. We highly recommend eating here and having your event here! Service was also top notch & ambiance was warm and inviting. We felt like we were in a very cozy home with the fireplace going. It was a perfect evening and I can’t thank Jared and Tara enough.
This is the upgrade we didn't know we needed!!
The food was incredible, the staff was kind and attentive and the owner and his wife are super nice and came out to talk to everyone as their dishes came out to ensure everyone was happy with their choices! Not to mention, the place was packed!
Thee best Pork Chop i've ever had and the celery salad was unreal. You will not be disappointed. The chef is fantastic.
Wonderful place - only wish we lived closer! My husband and I met the chef when he was working at a restaurant in Brooklyn. We truly appreciated his food. My husband even remember's Chef's pork chop and was excited to have it again. Now, he and his wife have opened this perfect little restaurant up in the Hudson Valley (where we hope to live one day). Nice bar, cozy atmosphere and just great people. We were finally able to come for a meal on our way down back to Queens from an overnight stay in the Catskills. The food is perfect; ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, the dishes feel clean and plant forward, and the flavors are excellent. Additionally, the prices are reasonable (which has become a rarity). And if you have heard about this celery salad: I will tell you that I hate celery, seriously, I don't get it, but I was encouraged to try it and so I decided to be adventurous - I loved it. I almost hate saying it when I have expressed such disdain for celery over the years, but I will make an exception for this salad and this salad alone : )
Definitely can't wait to come back next time we are passing through. We would be regulars if we lived closer for sure!
Everything here was delicious! We loved the crostini and the croquette apps. Cabbage was out of this world. Pastas were spectacular!
One With Land is a culinary gem; the culinary expertise on display is remarkable. The menu boasts a variety of dishes that expertly showcase the quality of the local ingredients and the creativity of Chef Jared. It's evident that the chef's background in Michelin-starred and fine dining establishments has greatly influenced the menu. Each dish is a masterpiece, thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The combination of flavors, textures, and colors is both impressive and unforgettable. My husband and I wanted to try everything on the menu (I think we may have had most of the apps); the food was amazing.
The service is top-notch. The owners, Tara and Jared could not have been more gracious. The staff is well-informed about the menu, friendly, and extremely attentive. They're eager to share the stories behind the dishes and ingredients, adding an extra layer of engagement to the dining experience.
If you are looking for an absolutely delicious meal, One with Land should be at the top of your must-visit list. We look forward to going back with family and friends!
Great new restaurant replacing the Hoot Owl. Fresh new interior, great menu, fun cocktails, and inviting atmosphere. The owners Tara and Jared could not have been more gracious or better hosts. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Tara offered drink suggestions and Jared (CIA trained) personally made sure our food was to our liking. Let’s be honest there are limited fine dining options locally. This new restaurant is exactly what the area needs. My Wife and I will be loyal customers.
What a wonderful meal! Service was attentive and personal. The food was divine. We are vegetarian and we had a blast working through several of the thoughtfully prepared seasonal delights. The chef's touch was evident from texture to tone, from sweetness to acidity, and in the balance is very serious food that is high on substance and low on pretense. We are so happy this place has opened up in the Hudson valley!!!
Why can't this restaurant be closer to where I live? Loved everything about it and really not much more to say other than if you are anywhere near the area and you don't mind spending a little extra on something that is totally deserving of that something extra, then you have to go. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
So excited about this new upstate restaurant! It was one of the most delicious meals of my life. The mushroom pate with truffles was fluffy and flavorful. The corn with mascarpone was creamy and delicious. The rigatoni with cured pork was bursting with flavor. Portions were huge. And the olive oil cake was moist and dense and beautiful. We can't wait to come back!
This was by far one of the most spectacular meals I’ve ever had. Each course surprised and delighted. The first bite of each dish revealed inventiveness and a caring touch. We later discovered the menu is supported by the chef’s long standing relationship with local farmers. Get your reservation now because once the secret is out you’ll be sorry you didn’t act sooner!
We live nearby and there aren’t a ton of really special dining options. We’ve heard of this place opening and were excited to try it out. The bottom line is the food is SO GOOD and the owners are lovely. Many of the other reviews here speak to the newness and finding their groove. That’s fair enough, I think the folks at O.W.L. are fully aware of that and actively working on it, but all that is to be expected with a new restaurant. But it’s the food that they don’t miss on. It’s all so good. We had a collection of small plates and they were all delicious in their own way. We are VERY siked to have this place in our neighborhood now and will be regulars for sure.
Just had our Holiday Luncheon there for 20+ people. We’re still talking about how unbelievable the food was. Great time, great food, great service! I can’t say enough! They did a phenomenal job, knocked it out the park!

We were actually stalking this restaurant from Brooklyn since the chef had been at a restaurant in our neighborhood for quite a while. We went upstate with trying Jared's new place on the top of our to-do list!
The food was just as good as ever. The highlights were the duck fat roasted dates (I totally stole this idea and made a version for Thanksgiving), the mushroom pate, the always outstanding pork chop, the linguine with 30 clove pomodoro, and the celery salad, but all the food was good.
There were some kinks to be worked out service-wise when we went, but we'd definitely go back when were in the area.
We ate here for the first time last night. The food was excellent. I didn't get a photo of the potato croquettes that we ordered because we ate them too fast. We had the spicy blue crab spaghetti, the chicken curry, and the baby back ribs. It was busy when we arrived but we waited and it was well worth the wait. We met the owners who are very friendly people. The bartender Rosie was very good and friendly. This was definitely some of the best local foods we have had and it is really worth going there for a meal. You will not be disappointed with the food or the service. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back.
