Only place we go for Thai. Pong and his wife treat us like family when ever we visit. Take out is better as they are very busy and it is just pong and his wife running things. If you have time, it's also a great time to stay and eat.

We love Basil Thai. The owners, Pong and Nit are very sweet. The Pad Thai, fried Rice, and Soups are incredible. My sons always get take out whenever they come back to town. I even deliver it to my son in Rochester if he come home. Generous portions. Highly recommend this restaurant

This is mainly takeout now, but wow is their food YUMMY!! I love their curry chicken and then there is a beef with peppers that is amazing. I have had both the red and green curry dishes. Delicious! Definitely give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

Pong and Nit are the nicest humans on the planet. Literally the kindest people ever. My boyfriend and I order from here from time to time and the food never disappoints & it always satisfies our Thai food cravings and keeps us coming back for more. Great prices, and very generous portion sizes. Love this place, will always recommend it!!

It's great food and the place is very nice and neat. It's run by just the owner and his wife. BUT when it's busy (normal lunch and dinner times) it takes forever to get your food and check because its only the two of them. It's also freezing in there. Wear a jacket if you aren't getting take-out.

Food is good. It's the only Thai in the county so nothing to compare it to unless you go to Syracuse. Take out only so we end up with luke warm food by time we get home. Not happy with the portion of rice, the containers were only 3/4 full.

We went in to sit down and order food. It isn't very clear because signs indicate you can eat in, and one says you cannot. We ordered at the counter and tried to ask if we could dine in, but she told us no. However, while we were waiting for our food a gentleman came in and picked up his food and sat at one of the tables. The wife's owner quickly looked at us out the side of her eye and then went over and took a drink order from the gentleman.

AWESOME Thai food… my husband and I have been ordering from there for years (and I mean YEARS) and they never disappoint. I have been to Thailand and this is the closest you can get. The owners are very sweet and they work very hard to give you the best meal possible. Whenever a family/friend asks about best restaurants around… we always recommend Basil… great for takeout. If you haven’t been, you NEED to go! And to top it off, their daughter went to SJFC! Go Cardinals!

I’ve only ever ordered the same dish.. the R1 with chicken, medium spice. It was referred to me by my brother who also only gets the same thing. But I think the consistency of that one dish says a lot. First off it’s a big portion so I always have lunch for the next day. Secondly it’s very good and the spice level is perfect, even my 9 year old asks to share “my” dinner.
